Pho U Plus Burger — Restaurant in Auburn

I really wanted this place to be good…There were good reviews, and I have wanted to try this place so we Went in on a Saturday and overall was impressed with the atmosphere and decided to dine in. They have a projector and even some space where I think children can color which I thought was nice. Lots of seating available and high chair. The lady that took our order spelled my name wrong (I’m used to this) but she went on to say “I wrote it wrong, oh well it doesn’t matter” and called me by my name incorrectly again:/ that felt wrong after I corrected her twice 😑 I asked if the pho was good and she was enthusiastically recommending the steak and brisket so that is what I ordered, along with nuggets and fries from the kid menu. Ngl The pho was pretty gross. It had a rancid smell and I couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe the meat was bad? Idk…but when I tasted it i immediately spit it out because there was something funky about it. I have never everrrrrrrrr tasted pho that was foul like that. When I told the lady that took our order she mentioned it might be the cinnamon and I haven’t heard of pho having a strong cinnamon taste (like I know some folks put it in theirs but it’s not like BOLD in the flavor ya know) but I’m sure that wasn’t it. It had to do something with the flavor like maybe that was expired meat or something.. they didn’t offer a refund and just asked if I wanted a burger. I was so turned off by the soup that I couldn’t even accept that. We ended up leaving the barely touched food on the table and left. Lesson learned...

Gone here a lot they have have some of the best milkshakes and fries I have ever had in my life. I made this post year before I work there but when I did I learned the lady Sally is really racist. We had a group of kids hit her window and they happened to be black and for the rest of that day if someone black walked past she would chase them and tell them they owe her money for her perfectly fine window and kept calling people the n word over and over again and I worked behind the counter and we had to give certain condiments based on what race they were it was all stupid and I worked behind the counter making drinks and no one really knows how horrible she treated me her husband is amazing but she was horrible to me she would act all nice when people were around and would act nice sometimes to make up for the fact that she was so mean and cruel earlier. I made the drinks and no matter what she said they weren't good enough even when I got down to the measurements to exactly what she wanted and said was good one second the next drink all of a sudden I'm using too much and making her lose too much money and she was paying me under the table and don't buy their drinks the ice machine hasn't been cleaned for 3 years till I finally did but it's still covered in mold and we had to pick out the moldy pieces of ice and I...

After a cold day of racing at PGP I wanted something to defrost my whole body. We looked up the closest Pho place and as we got closer my husband saw the Herfy's burger sign and said he might want a burger instead. After about 3 minutes of deliberation he agreed to get Pho with me. To our surprise it was the same restaurant! It was like a mini food court. American food, Vietnamese, and Korean you name it they had it. This is a great place for a family that cant agree on what to eat. It's quite the community hot spot, the lady was calling everyone by their name and following up on events the customers spoke about last time they were in. There was a group of young boys having their own bday gathering for a friend and I think they gave him a gift and took their group photo. Then another regular customer photo bombed in the background. We ordered shrimp spring rolls and pho to dine in. The pho came in a disposable container which was different, but still delicious. My husband ordered a California burger and coffee shake to go. It is on the pricier side, but we plan on coming back next time...
