Our waitress was super friendly and kept our drinks filled without being too intrusive. I decided to try something new and got the caprese which was simple but delicious. Nice plump slices of tomatoes that tasted vine fresh with none of the mealy texture that comes from hot house tomatoes. The kalamata olives provided just enough of a salty bite to really make the fresh mozzarella shine. And delicate shreds of basil added a slight herby punch. I wouldn't have minded a little bit more balsamic but all in all it set a high bar and I'm really glad I tried it. I also got a sausage roll but the caprese filled me up so much I only got to enjoy a few bites. The dough was fantastic, not too thick, not too thin with a good flavor and a nice chew. The marinara was clearly house made and delicious, none of that canned marinara flavor that plauges some spots. But the sausage was just okay. I'd probably go for a different main on a return visit but that's just me liking my sausage to have a amore aggressive flavor profile. (Not heat spice, but more flavor spice). My son got a sampler platter and he said it was all really good as well. And considering he all but inhaled the chicken parmesan I'm going to guess it was the stand out stat in the trifecta, but once we got the leftovers home they didn't survive the night so I know everything else was just as delicious based on the clean plate club standard. So all in all a great little restaurant, with great staff, and great food. I highly recommend it!

I first entered, and I felt vibes like it was Cici's Pizza. The red cups and gumball machine gave off the Cici's Pizza vibe. I took a look at the menu with so many items and I was surprised to see that a quote on quote "traditional" Italian restaurant was selling Philly Cheesesteaks, or as titled, "Philly Steak". The bread was aight. When I got my "Philly Steak", I tasted it and it tasted as though the bread was over toasted, or something. And the steak and cheese tasted almost bland. I personally thought that the steak and cheese may have been microwaved. Whenever I took a bite of the "Philly Steak", there was so much piping hot oil that poured onto my lip. I would prefer a Philly 3 Cheesesteak from Charley's. I was also confused about the being served a bag of Ruffles, of which I neither expected from a restaurant, not asked for. My mother ordered an Eggplant Parmigiana, and she thought it was microwaved, as well. She was also confused as to why the eggplants were smashed, rather than diced. She called it quits soon into digging in. At least my father enjoyed his pasta. We hate to leave food unfinished, but it wasn't to our appetite/liking. All in all, I don't believe we will be ordering from Giuseppe's Pizza in a while. It also seems like a fast food restaurant thing to have a drive-thru, no offense.

The food was very good and our waitress was awesome especially considering she was taking orders, delivering food, filling drinks, and busing tables. When we arrived it was not clear that we needed to walk all the way across the restaurant to get to the host stand. Once we figured that out and arrived at the stand, we were asked how many were in our party. When we said, "7", the response we got was a seemingly bothered "7?". Then, I was asked how many of the 7 were there. I said 4 and was immediately told a fairly lengthy story about why we could not be seated until the entire party arrived because they had been burned in the past by people who claimed to have larger parties than actually materialized. While I understand that, I recommend saying something like, "please wait here while I prepare your table. That way once everyone is here we can seat you right away." When I hear that, I don't feel like a possible suspect in a restaurant caper. Anyway, one more person in our party walked in and the host announced he could now seat us. I'm not sure why he had a change of heart. Like I said before, the food was good and I'm sure the waitress plays a significant role in the success of this establishment. Oh... I recommend the buffalo chicken pizza.

I called and placed an order for my school luncheon yesterday. I was looking at their official website's menu. I asked for a total and the lady said she would give the total when the sponsor called back to pay.The price should have been around $750. I found out today the total was about $963.I arrived this morning at 10:55. I pulled up to the window. Several people saw me at the window and never acknowledged me. At first I was getting a little irritated, but then I said to myself it is before 11 so someone will get to me when they open. I waited until 11 and still no one came to the window. At 11:05, I pulled up and went inside. I said I needed to pickup an order since no one came to the window. She said I thought someone helped you. I said I guess that is what you and the all the other people who passed by thought. I went to the counter and said I needed to pick up an order. The guy said it would be a few minutes because we are completing a large order. I said yes that would be my order. Then everyone started treating me nice and wanted to have so much to say. They went in and changed the price of how much the food cost on their website. I called back when they sent the itemized bill. The owner or manager first tried to say there are different prices on different sites. I informed him I was on their official website and I know what I read. I know about how much my total should have been. He then said their menu says prices may vary. I informed him that would be fine if that was next to the items I ordered and not when it was changed after I placed my order. He then told me he would not discuss the price change with me since I was not the one who paid for the order. I explained it was placed on my behalf and he cheated us out of money. He became irate and hung up in my face. About 10 minutes later he called me back. I thought he was going to apologize, but instead he told me that I was not the one who paid and he will deal with the person responsible for the bill. I explained it was for me and I don't want to cut off someone who may help us in the future. I said I can't believe you hung up in my face. He said I didn't hang up and I said well if it was an accident then you would have called right back. It's been over 10 mins. I explained I would be writing a review and he would never get our business again. He became irate again and hung up again. We always try to support local businesses. That won't be...

We ordered just one slice of pizza each. There were two of us. When we walked in I looked at the pizza buffet because I did not know what it was all about being our first time there. The waitress did not mention at all that there was a two-slice special + drink. Given that we only ordered two slices and we didn't finish our drinks, that would have been perfect for us but we were never offered it. We waited a very long time for our two slices of pizza. At some point I asked what's taking so long and I'm told that because it's being made fresh, it takes a long time. I've never known a pizzeria to not have any ready slices. They must expect to make all their money from their buffet. When we got the pizza slices, my husbands slice was actually cold. The cheese was very salty and it was mediocre at best.... I ordered a sicilian slice which was burnt to a crisp on the bottom, as in black. The dough had not risen properly and was doughy. Sicilian is supposed to rise up and be more airy. It literally had very little taste as far as the sauce and cheese go. We came here because it had great reviews. My husband and I are New Yorkers and we've lived in Connecticut for 20 years also. This doesn't come anywhere close to either New York Pizza or New Haven pizza. Sadly, we thought we had found a gem but we were wrong. Not to mention that the waitresses were more interested in singing along with their very loud music... We could not have a conversation, it was annoyingly loud. That pretty much sums it up for this...

1 day after the snow storm I called this location to see if they were open before I traveled out my way to put in a take out order. A young girl answered the phone immediately with an irritated tone. I asked her if they were open due to the recent snow storm and she immediately hung up on me. I was seething. I have never felt so disrespected. I immediately called back and a man named Raymond answered the phone I asked if he was the manager he said Yes. I explained to him the verbal transaction I had with the pervious employee and he then told me that I can come down to the establishment he would speak with me and the employee (I guess to see what happened). When I arrived I asked for Raymond and he immediately started apologizing saying it was the phone the employee couldn’t hear me. Which was false because she gave no inclination that she was not able to hear me. To add insult to injury I asked who the employee was which Raymond along with another employee pointed out. It was a young red head Caucasian female (she would not give her name even when asked in front of management). The whole time I was talking to Raymond at the front desk she was smirking and had such a disgusting demeanor I’m not one that usually write reviews but this is the best way I could think of handling this situation with out getting physical I’m so upset I may reach out to a higher up. I don’t feel Raymond handled it well as a manager and that young lady should not work directly with paying customers or needs...
