I had a doctors appointment day before yesterday. I have these flashy bubbles, appearing with bright lights and my right side peripheral. I seen one of the doctors there. She told me that normally when this happens, there’s a detached retina or something wrong with your eye that’s extensive. Well, nothing was wrong with it but I know I have high blood pressure and I’m getting that looked at with my DO. This place has it down. They have a massive waiting room. They have plenty of young ladies whom are easy on the eyes and they great especially at an eye clinic, checking in and checking out patients. Got plenty of non-doctor staff and doctor staff. I went into one room and they checked my eyes. I guess you’d be equivalent to a nurse then she dilated my eyes with eye drops asked me to go wait in the dilated room so the lights are dimmed a little bit and someone else came and got me in about five minutes. She took a couple of pictures of eyeballs and returned me to the dilated room. Another five minutes went by and this time was sent to a room and the doctor came in with someone who was typing on the computer everything the doctor and I were saying I went through a few more tests and then was told everything looks good with my eyes, they’re very healthy. I do have a little what she calls a baby cataract forming but it is acceptable for my age we would look at that over the years. Got my script for my new glasses made a new date at the receptionist at the front desk for next year in and out of that place in about 25-30...
Read moreGreat staff! I had my Lasik consult with Mallory, today. She is the absolute sweetest. She showed me around the surgery center and answered all of my questions. I was really nervous about the actual procedure, but after talking to her and Chloe (front desk, also super sweet), I feel more excited than nervous. The whole staff is amazing and everyone makes you feel like you've been friends for years. The way they treated me while I was there, makes me fully trust them with my eyes. I cannot express how wonderful these people are and how glad I am that I chose to see them! If you're considering Lasik, this is where you want to go!
Update: I had my Lasik surgery yesterday and when I tell you I was terrified of something touching my eyes... but it was not bad at all. Melanie walked me through everything and put me at ease-- she even gave me 2 stress balls and I definitely needed them. The entire staff all offered so much support. I think I told them it was worse than I thought it would be just because I didn't know what to expect (I did not google anything ahead of time and im glad I didnt). Ha. But honestly it wasn't bad at all and I wish I had done this a long time ago. Dr. Smith is absolutely wonderful. I'd trust them to do it again and again. 100% best decision I've made concerning my eyes! Thank you all for taking such good care of me and helping me conquer a huge fear. Yall...
Read moreWe absolutely loved Dr. Herbert Fetcher before retiring. Now that he has retired, my husband was switched to Dr. Christian Mays. Dr. Mays has the absolute worst bed side manner and social skills. In addition, today was the first time he had EVER seen my husband and told him that he needed to change the number of times he should take his drops. (Sir, you don't know his history, you don't know how long it took to get him stabalized and EVERYTHING you have said to my husband in the 2 minutes you spent with him was CONTRARY to every single SEASONED doctor he has seen over the years, INCLUDING DR. FETCHER). Uhhh NO..... you will NOT EVER care for my husband or ANYONE in my family for that matter. We will NEVER come back to that office again to see that doctor. EVER! He was very loud, arrogant, negative and to be honest needs more training. As soon as he opened his mouth, we had no confidence in anything that he had to say. Some things may have been true BUT it was NOT the truth! His demeanor was as if he was working for the Department of Corrections and my husband was an inmate. It took everything we had to stay professional and not say a word to that man. I would not recommend Dr. Mays for any human being. He should be working in a lab away...
