I placed an online order for later delivery, about 7 hours before delivery. At 5:50 pm when I saw no movement on the app for my order, I called to inquire as to why. The woman on the phone took forever to answer, and when she did she was barely intelligible due to a horrific phone system in the store. After many attempts, I was able to understand enough of her, and she said many times, "we are unable to take online orders as our WIFI is down." I indicated I had already placed one, and had been charged for it. She multiple times said we cannot take orders, a pizza is not coming if you placed an order online. Her suggestion was that I drive to the store and reorder. I'm stuck in a hotel with no car, that is not an option. She should have simply asked for my order number and cancelled the order and charge.
Thinking I had no food coming I placed another order from a competitor of yours. Within 5 minutes I had a progress report from them, and within 15 minutes the pizza was on the way. I received a knock on the door to my hotel and it was the pizza that I was told was not ordered. And that charge for $27+ was on my credit card along with $25+ for the second pizza I ordered because this store said they couldn't manage making and delivering a pizza. The driver inquired as to why I was mad, and I explained this. Multiple times she said i must have misheard. I did no such thing. I verified the no order, no pizza thing multiple times despite the awful phone conversation (why is the store open if they cannot communicate with their customers). As the conversation progressed she indicated they told her no tip on the order...so the cause of her antagonism and disrespect were becoming clear. i added $5 tip to the order when I placed it. So who stole her tip? she even went as far as to try and pull the hurricane card. I live in an area that saw impacts from both Helene and Milton....we managed to continue on just fine. This is an absurd argument. When I pointed that out she returned to her, "you just didn't hear right" argument. Leading to me walking away and closing the door before I got mad enough to swear.
This has cured me from using this brand for certain. Awful experience. Beware if you are ordering online from this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHIS RESTAURANT CHANGES PRICES AS IT SEES FITš¤·āāļø This is not the first time I've had to deal with Marcos medium 1 topping special going from 7.99 to 13.99 at the location on Furys Ferry Rd in Augusta, Georgia. I have been a loyal customer for years, sometimes we'll order a pizza two times a week! But I realize that this store will inflate the cost of the medium one topping pizza whenever they choose. The second location on WALTON WAY Ext has a set price of 7.99 at all times. I've had to call Walton Way Ext to confirm that the price is still 7.99 and how upsetting it is to find out that Marcos Furys Ferry is hiking the price!! On line the pizza is even advertised for 7.99 but still this location told me that you could only get that price with a special coupon which was never the case before. My family and I love to order Marcos and as a large family we love this special.. We have Domino's and Papa John's just as close but still chose Marcos every time. Even speaking to the manager, Tim about our concern for the change of price was disappointing. He showed no empathy and had such an intimidating and uncomfortable approach to me when I questioned why the change. I wish I could present this issue a different way but I can't. Iām so disappointed. In this day and age the pandemic has made us all more conscious of our spending & price gauging Is just immoral and wrong. I had to send my husband to the Walton Way Ext location because they were courteous and they honor this everyday promotion despite the fact itās much further from my home. I am very disappointed with this inconvenience. I hope this helps someone choose a pizza restaurant that will do its part in not only providing good quality pizza but will also remain honest...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe past 3x's I've ordered pizza from the Fury's Ferry Location, something that I paid for has been missing. The first time it was feta cheese, the last time we ordered the garlic dipping sauce and most recently (today) the feta cheese (again).
This time, I decided to call, just hoping to notify them of my experience - Trevor answered the phone and when I told him what happened he said "there is definitely feta cheese on there, I put it on myself." I told him, that there was NOT any cheese on there and he was mistaken. He proceeded to argue with me, back and forth, for 4 minutes. I would say it wasn't on here, he would disagree with me and claim that it was. I KNOW what feta cheese from Marcos looks like, I order it on almost every pizza both at work and home. Trevor even described what it looked like and I said I don't see anything, maybe it's under the mozzarella, to which he replied that it wasn't.
Rather than taking ANY accountability for the possibility that he could be wrong (I offered to drive the pizza down there for him to see personally, but he said "that would be a waste of time because I put it on there" and so I offered to send photos, but he wouldn't tell me where to send) or for the previous experiences I mentioned at the beginning of the call he disrespectfully disagreed with me the entire time. Just WOW - What an experience. We have been loyal customers for a long time and this most recent event has made me consider driving to a different...
