This is all owned by Goodwill. Not impressed by the company. Their community service message is they help people find jobs. Not sure those as livable wages type jobs. Look their cost of goods sold is close to zero, their profit margins far surpass any other retailer, but their prices are close to new items on many goods. They don’t accept returns on anything. So they don’t care if they sell items that don’t work and I’ve purchased a few of those lemons. Once they over charged me on a hand mixer. I didn’t catch it until after I paid and reviewed the receipt on why the trip was so expensive. I pointed it out to them and they refused to charge me correctly or refund because all sales are final.
There are some decent deals on color item of the week 50% sale if you go on Sunday and the Monday $1.25 sale. But expect to spend hours looking and going to multiple stores because the clothes are not organized by size and the tags are...
Read moreThe worst Goodwill. The cashier Tatiana tried to charge us $8 for two children's books, saying she thought they were adult books, then "rounded up" our total to add 25% of the purchase price as a donation. We asked the cashier why it was so much and she called the manager, Monica, who was disgusting rude. When we inquired about it to her, the store manager Monica was super judgemental. She even said snarkly at the end, "I'll refund your very LARGE donation of X.XX." It's the principle of the thing, Monica, not the money itself. She should have gotten that, but even if it was, that was no way to treat a customer, especially if one was struggling. It was an ordeal, so I'm choosing not to shop here again. If you do choose to shop here, DO NOT allow them to round up your purchase, but of course, I would recommend going to any other Thrift...
Read moreThe shelves are always messy and the prices are higher than expected, especially since all of their products are donated. You can hear the help in the back breaking a lot of items. I wonder how careful they are with the organization and putting products out. I guess it must not matter if things break because Goodwill didn't have to pay for the merchandise. I have started donating my things to other organizations that seem to care more about the people who need them. CEO's of Goodwill sure make a great deal of money for it to...
