As of April 28, 2024, the area is kinda cordoned off but someone told us we were allowed to go in, so I chose to believe them and go in. Careful around the pile of sticks that I'm sure will be picked up soon, and look out for the tree roots in the play area. I mean, look....it's Augusta and in the land of Sub wrappers and syringes on the ground at times, this is pretty dang good for Augusta. My son likes it and the place has been free of drug wrappers and needles, so it's 4* for me. It could get 5 from me once they throw some mulch down. The tree roots are dangerous as lots of kids were tripping.

We love the trails along the Kennebec I run my dog up there a lot I grew up in Augusta and my whole life and I still fine cool things along the river it can be very tranquil and relaxing and we all know that the river can also show its sphere side so it's amazing at all ends this tree that is posted in the pics is 27 ft around it's an oak tree hits up on an High Ground in the woods and it's the largest hardwood I've seen in Augusta area. My dog Cody loves to run around in the Swale grass along the river.

A nice spot to start a land or river adventure in Augusta. Boaters benefit from a wide concrete landing into the Kennebec River. There is ample parking as well as bathrooms and a dock during Sunmer months. The park offers a fun playground with picnic area for families. This park makes a great starting point for a walk through the park, through the Museum on the Streets heritage spots, past Olde Fort Western towards Augusta's historic downtown on Water Street.

This is actually a very nice place to bring a lunch and eat then go for a walk! It's along the riverfront, so it's a very pretty view. Plenty of picnic tables. Walking trails lead either up to an old Fort from the 1600's or the other way where there are sometimes informational signs about the wildlife in the area. There is also a boat landing here so you'll see people come in and out, sometimes with a catch of the day!

Huge variety of vegetation to look over as you walk and mostly shaded. Also seems like a really great place to bring kids (When Corona dies down) as the playground there is very unique! I look forward to having friends come visit me so we can have lunch and go...

This place is a great place for a photoshoot, children, adventures, picnics. There are alot of trails here that are easy paths but lead you to great places. One of the paths has a bridge that's beautiful and great for engament photos. There is a playground that has anything you could have imagined. There are bathrooms and picnic tables. There is also a way to get down to the water so that you can actually wade into it. It's a great view all around. Fishing is also allowed here. The grounds are very well kept and there's no trash. There are trash cans though for those...
