Came here late night. Came from a funeral. Bought a bottle of wine in to have a late night snack and unwind over a bottle of wine with my brother. The manager being rude as a witch Came running to us at the claw machine screaming "you better get that bottle of wine out of here. We don't have a liquor license. You can't do that." As I said, we Came from a funeral. I didn't even want to deal with it. However, it was so unprofessional the way she handled it. Not to mention, her information was incorrect.
"No Need for a Liquor License – Under municipal law, restaurants do not need to have a liquor license in order to allow customers to bring in their own beer or wine. This encourages restaurants that tend to be smaller, family-owned businesses which cater to local clientele to be open to BYOB.Mar 19, 2019"
I don't know how Denny's, a reputable company loved by Americans for generations, allowed someone so inexperienced to manage. During a time when the industry is falling apart. I am so disappinted.
Nov 19, 2021 (8 days later) I called right after we left because I left my lighter (last thing my uncle gave me before he passed away. The lady I spoke with said we found it. Come in and let the staff know it's in the office. I did just that and the sample manager from the 11th told me it's not here. "I can't find it anywhere, I don't know what to tell you."
So someone that works there stole it... I don't know what kind of manager this location is hiring but this is unacceptable. Zero problem solving skills. Professionalism is...
Read moreI used to come to this Dennys all the time. I will NEVER come here again. They used to be awesome. Here lately, they have changed the menu. No more skillets. (It's the only reason I ever went) The new menu is not the best. The food pretty much sucks. The restaurant is completely understaffed and filthy. (Even the bathrooms) The waitresses do the best they can. However, they can not be everywhere all at once. The service is super slow. I used to have a friend who worked at this restaurant for a week. She was only training, and she walked away from the job because of inaccurate training, not enough waitresses, and because she saw theft and fraud happening. (If customers walked out, she'd be blamed and have to pay $100 penalty from her check or cash out of pocket even though she was new. This happened at least 3 times because the manager made her. She left the company after 3 or 4 shifts, and when she went back to get her check, they refused to give it to her until she paid the $100 in cash. Her check she was picking up was only $80. She left there owing money. Smh) I've never heard of a company doing this. Especially because my friend has a legitimate learning disability. . . . . I tried giving them a chance to see if these things were true. It was immidiately obvious watching the staff that they were. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE DENNYS!!! I'll never go there again, and I really hope nobody else...
Read moreThe hostess was about to set me and my girlfriend down when someone came from out the back and said we need to wear mask. I found it weird the hostess allowed me and my girlfriend to walk-in and come close to sitting down before another individual had an objection that worked there. I reminded the lady i’m from Indiana which is a state that doesn’t wear mask and it is not enforced so I don’t have one obviously. But yet it is at the discretion of the business. They didn’t have mask there for me to purchase. So the lady said we would have to leave. As I was leaving I looked over at a couple that were sitting down waiting on their food and they did not have on a mask. A question I don’t get is why was I told to wear a mask but the other people weren’t wearing theirs and what’s the point of loosing a customer permanently and demand they must wear a mask when in order to eat you must take off the mask. I’m currently at the Chillis down the street. I’m writing this waiting on my food and the hostess have on mask and some of the customers do and don’t have on mask. A business gained my business and money and a business lost money and a customer. I’m sorry I came in tonight without a mask when my state doesn’t enforce it where i’m from and I couldn’t get one from them . I’m also sorry me and my girlfriend came there to eat and was asked to leave infront of everyone which was embarrassing....
