The name of the island hosting this park is Spiers Island, one of many islands in the middle of the Fox River between Elgin and Yorkville. I've yet to research why it has so many islands but they, like this one, are a sight to behold and enjoy.

Very nice Veterans Memorial, located right on the Fox River, in Aurora, IL. Very well kept, a great place to reflect on the greatness of our veterans. I did find some trash, which I picked up and disposed of.

I picked up wood chips across the street. There are a lot of them. Bring a BIG truck if you need a lot. They got all the wood chips.

Very nice Veterans Memorial, located right on the Fox River, in Aurora, IL. Very well kept, a great place to reflect on the greatness of our veterans. I did find some trash, which I picked up and disposed of.

I picked up wood chips across the street. There are a lot of them. Bring a BIG truck if you need a lot. They got all the wood chips.

This is one of the most beautiful park I've ever visited in Chicago! It's have a very nice ,clean environment with many different kinds of flowers and medicinal plants and beautiful small hill where you can have a superb views of the golf yard with beautiful sun rise and sunset ! You have to lay five doller for entrance fee! But it's worth it! It's visited by many people as it gives us a whole different feelings and to see the beauty of the nature . I love this place, I have visited this park very often as the flowers and the views makes me feel...

On a weekday during the school week, it was very peaceful here. Great place to just hang out and look at the river, eat lunch and if you brought one, launch your kayak, canoe or whatever on to the river. Sailboats would not be recommended since there are a bunch of bridges way too low for sailboats mast...
