Saw this place for the first time a few weeks ago. Looks like the exact type of place I love to try out. I stopped in two Saturday nights in a row. Still trying some things out. I like the walk up and order and then grab a table like some of my favorite Mexican eats closer to Chicago vs the sit down and get served by a server then feel compelled to tip the server like the rest of the places in the area. 1st visit I went a bit overboard and had the campechanos Nachos, and three various tacos. Steak, campechanos, and ground beef. Total bill was $25. The food was tasty. The campechanos and the steak both were good, the flavoring of the ground beef really stood out, some of the best ground beef I have had on a taco. I loved how the steak was cut, wish more places cut their steak for their tacos like this. The taco's also had a good portion of meat on them. I like crunchy tacos too and it would be nice to see crunchy\taco's dorados as an option here but as of now not an option. Unfortunately I went after the taco's first, this was a mistake as the cheese sauce in the nacho bowl had all of the really burried chips in the nacho plate beyond soggy by the time I got to them so the top half of the Nachos were quite good, and the bottom when you really got dug in, not so much. Lesson learned. My second visit I tried a ham torta and went back for another ground beef taco the two of them together $14 and some change. I was asked if I wanted avocado on my torta which caused me to ask the question "it's not already on there?" 95% of all tortas I have ever had already have it. I didn't ask how much extra it would be, but the torta was already $9.50 so I passed. Looking at the menu I see avocado slices on there for $2 hoping the add on would have been less than that but don't know. The ham Torta was tasty as well although the torta was only a little over an inch thick, I'm more used to them being like a little football shaped sandwich. Tasted good but didnt look very impressive for almost $10. The good news is I spotted a bottle of Avocado sauce I didnt know they had on a neighboring table and snagged it so I still got to enjoy some avocado flavor on my torta. Also the red\green sauces are both tasty, neither particularly spicy to me but I have an extremely high tolerance for spicy, what most call a 9/10 in spicy is usually about a 3/10 to me. The Ground beef taco tasted great like my last visit but seemed a bit more moist than my previous experience and both tortillas had half disintegrated dropping all of the contents of half the taco out on the plate while trying to eat it. I had to eat half the taco with a fork. Still got to try a few things out will be back but not sure how often as honestly I think they are a bit over priced. I did not order a drink either time, and have not been willing to pay $3.35 for a 16 or so oz fountain drink and a refill on the way out. Will try the Loco Fries probably on my next visit. Been eating "Loaded Steak Cheese Fries variants" at one of my favorite places near the city for 15 years, it's about time someone out in the burbs put this on the menu. I wanna like this place but I can still locally sit at other mexican places in the Aurora area and have two steak tacos two steak tostadas beans and rice and a can of pop with a tip for the waitress for $20 and...
Read moreToday was my 3rd day coming to this restaurant. The 1st day was on Wednesday and I absolutely loved the steak Torta that I got. The second time was on Thursday and I got the torta de Milensa de pollo, and I also tried the ground beef taco and barbacoa burrito bowl, everything was delicious, especially the torta. The portions are good. I love the flavor everything was great. Today I came again. My wife tried it yesterday and she wanted some again today. Honestly, the customer service today was great. They made a mistake with my order. Because I called over the phone. The lady at the drive thru did such a great job. She didn't give me no problems. She processed everything smoothly and she treated me well and patiently. I always try to wait a few times after visiting a restaurant before I leave a review so that I make sure that it's not at 1 time hit. But so far I'm impressed. The service is great. The food is great. The people are great, the inside looks great. I've also had some other fresh drinks. They're pretty good over all. I really recommend this place. They won me as a customer for awhile. Today Friday 14th 2025, I just want to say thank you to the lady who was at the drive through. I want to recognize your kindness....
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed and honestly confused. The food here is so inconsistent — it’s great when you take your time, but when it’s rushed, it really shows. I get that delivery can be tough, especially for small businesses, but if you can’t fulfill the order properly, it’s better not to accept it than to send something that feels half-done.
This might be on me too — I’ve had issues with this place before, and I gave it another chance. One ongoing problem: why is it so hard to include salsa? This is a Mexican restaurant — salsa isn’t optional, it’s essential. Are you rationing it?
Today’s order was the worst I’ve had. No salsa, no consomé, nothing to accompany the meal. Everything was just poorly done. Look at the food — I’ve never seen birria presented this badly.
