Walked in, only 2 lady's assisting several customers. I waited well over 10 minutes until I let 1 of the lady's know that I had been waiting with Zero acknowledgment. Not even a I will be right with you Hello welcome nothing, as if I was a ghost. Meanwhile the lady behind the hot foods continued serving the customers in line when she knew that I was ahead of the customers that she was serving the food. It was extremely hot in there, unbearably hot and uncomfortable. It felt as if they had the heater on at 85. We were so uncomfortable and sweating. Are they that cheap that they don't care to keep the AC comfortable for their customers but at least 68 to 70°? The only two ladies that were serving were not pleasant nor did the cashier that checked me out even think me. I've been to this location several times as I do live out of state and it seems like it gets worse and worse every time. The very first time I went there the services extremely poor. The Cuban sandwich is very sloppy with a lot of mustard, and the white paper bag they put the sandwich in fell apart from so much sauce and grease on the sandwiches, It was a huge mess. The prices are astronomical. They don't even post the prices for their food so when you get to the register to pay, it is so high, and you wonder why they sell their products so expensive. Prices should always show in every business so customers know what they're paying for. It's as if they're sneaky and dishonest not wanting to show that they're overcharging for everything. I paid over $100 for hardly anything. Down south in Miami that would have been a third of what we paid or less. This place needs to get their priorities straight and make some serious changes and definitely add prices to everything so their customers know before they order and not a surprise when they go to pay as we always do. They're a very rude, unprofessional and they just totally ignore you when you're standing there, So very unfriendly nor welcoming. Not once Have there ever said hello to us or welcomed us when walking in. It's as if we are a bother when we walk in. They definitely need to learn etiquette in customer service because they have zero. This bakery needs a lot of training and customer service.* As for the "Response" from this business, absolutely NOT, has the temperature inside this place ever below 80 degrees, we walk out sweating from the heat while placing our orders and are always eager to quickly walk out. We"Customers" should be comfortable and feel that we are appreciated, which we Never do. These excuses are inexcusable..We have family and friends that have visited this bakery and are just as dissatisfied and disappointed as we have been and continue to be, and there is several that refuse to return for this exact reason!!! It's like pulling teeth to get a smile off of anyone in this bakery. Overall service, seems to be getting worse with the service instead of improving. Never are we welcomed with a smile, a hello or even are we thanked. Start caring about you're customers and treat everyone the way, you and you're staff want and expect to be treated period!! Cuba Bakery & Cafe you desperately need improvements!! You're customers and comfort, should be you're #1 priority, which we...

This is a real gem in Aurora! We stumbled upon this cafe in our quest to find something that was open and within half hour driving distance of the airport. It had good reviews and cuban food and we decided to try it. The location is in an outdoor strip mall sort of a place. There is tons of parking, which is great! From the outside, this cafe looks like a mediocre restaurant, nothing fancy or romantic, a vibe emoting "eat and go"....but once you enter, the aroma of spices and flavors hits you like a wall, a good wall! Our clothes definitely smelt of all the food that was cooking and eaten in the cafe ha ha!

You can see the menu on the main wall and you have choices between appetizers, meals including daily specials, sandwiches and a whole array of desserts and baked goods. The menu is actually quite extensive. The meals are set up counter style so you see what you get. The portion sizes are huge. The entrees cost anywhere between $14-18 and these portions are definitely worth that price and more. We decided to eat there but there were several people who came to get takeout. We ordered the El Cubano (of course) and the Stew Beef, which was the daily special for Friday. Both were delicious!

The stew beef was flavorful, lots of spices but not overtly heated and the meat was soft and cooked exactly the way beef pieces should be. The potatoes were well-cooked. It came with a choice of different rice options, we went for the pork rice and it was a great choice. The pork pieces were a little softer and chewier than the beef pieces and provided a different texture, which we really liked. The plate also came with some fried plantains, a favorite of my husband's! Fried plantains tend to become gooey in some restaurants, which I don't like. These were firm, properly fried and not overtly sweet or mushy. It was a great plate overall.

The El Cubano was HUGE but full of meat and steaming hot off the panini maker. With every bite, you get more and more of the medley of flavors from the meat, the pickles and the sauce. It came with slim chips, which were not too heavy on the stomach. That sandwich lasted us two meals, so you can imagine how big it was.

I wanted to try their guava and cheese pastry but we just didn't have any appetite left! We got a tres leches to share and this was definitely one of the best ones I've had. The cake was firm to bite into and then just melted in the mouth. The creamy sauce was excellent and sweet and just the perfect end to this delicious meal. Again, the portion is good enough for two people.

The lady manning the food counter and the people manning the cash counter were all very sweet. All in all, this was a great experience and this restaurant definitely lives up to its reviews and ratings. Highly...

Yesterday was my first time in and all I can say is wow. It feels like you’re stepping into someone’s house to sit down for a great meal. Not the flashiest decor but I never cared much for it cause the food and service are what matter.

The lady who helped me was so patient and welcoming. She took her time to show me through what they had and made suggestions on what I should try my first time. Didn’t mind I said it was my first time in and whenever I try a new place I get a spread and plan to eat leftovers so I can fairly estimate a restaurant. So I got a Cuban sandwich that was the size of my face, a beef rib plate with yellow rice that had peas and carrots in it and tostones and then 5 different empanadas.

The Cuban sandwich was divine. The meat was juicy but the bread was still crispy on the outside. Had a slight citrus flavor like they marinated it in mojo and assembled it where the fillings or size wasn’t skimped on. I enjoyed every single bite as it was well balanced with every component complimenting and not being overpowering. The ham, pickles, mustard, roast mojo pork and cheese on a true Cuban loaf were portioned perfectly. Already starting off strong.

Just heat back up our beef rib plate for my wife as leftover the next day. The meat is spoon tender and well glazed with the sauce. The sauce is rich and flavorful like a gravy but slightly sweet like a bbq sauce and just packed with flavor. That pull apart tender with rice that is so damn flavorful I’m not sure how they did it. Another home run.

Then these empanada with the different fillings are absolutely stellar. The chicken and beef ones were my favorite. Gonna try the Jamaican beef patty pastry’s next time I’m in for another stellar meal.

So the food is rockstar and the service was great. She even after I ordered an array (got looks but I know I’m not eating it in one sitting) offered me to try samples of there other meats like the shredded beef and Fricase. Not one single thing I tasted from this place was not rockstar.

Started it cause I’ll definitely be back. They were so nice and this traditionally cooked Cuban food was amazing and the pastries looked divine. Grabbed a strawberry and Nutella pastry for after dinner.

If the lady who helped me is reading this thank you so much, I really appreciated you being patient and welcoming to me.

Return visit for to-go of: Pork Ribs and Ropa Viejo meals set. And from their bakery: Yucca Roll Cheese and Ham empanada Quesito Key Lime tart New added favorite, Quesito. You won't regret going there. _____________ First visit, weekday afternoon before 4pm. Simple diner atmosphere, ordering is just like cafeteria style, selections laid out w/payment at end. Meal will consist of your choice of: * Rice (4 choices) * Entree * side of either fried plantains or boiled yucca Our meal consisted: * Pork Ribs /Yellow rice with beans / yucca * Ropa Viejo / Yellow rice with veggies / fried plantains * Flan for dessert It was actually difficult choosing the entree as the all looked very good. First taste of Cuban food and it will be a favorite destination. Coffee was another A+, served in a small styrofoam cup bigger than a shot glass but (!) definitely loved the surprise of tasting STRONG ☕. And believe me, I 💕💕💕 coffee straight black. Pastries, baked goods, bread also available. Got to-go of: * Pork Ribs meal * Empanadas - Ham and Cheese - Chorizo - Chicken My favorite was the Ham and Cheese. I found the Chorizo too salty and the Chicken filling had still bones in them. Loved the dough, though! * Yucca Roll was very good and will be a fave Verdict: 5-⭐ Will be a repeat destination. Looking forward to trying more. Will have to try the cakes and pastries next. Your first visit? Recommend the Pork Ribs and the Ropa Viejo. That's what I got and love it!
