I used to LOVE this place.

As a long-time patron I was deeply saddened to witness the decline in its quality and ethical treatment of its employees and partners.

The most concerning aspect of my experience was the mistreatment of the staff. Despite their dedication and hard work, they were subjected to multiple bounced paychecks, an extended “holiday break” without notice, and a complete disregard for their well-being. The fact that the owners continued to promise job returns while leaving employees in the lurch is a clear indication of their lack of integrity.

The food vendors and food trucks associated with Ani's Day and Night also faced similar challenges stemming from a general lack of respect. The folks running the show have a well established pattern of exploitation and a disregard for the individuals who contributed to the business's success. They want you to support their small business but don’t care about yours.

While Ani's Day and Night may have presented itself as a community-oriented establishment, my interactions with the owners and management paint a very different picture. Their actions demonstrate a complete lack of empathy and a willingness to prioritize potential profit over people.

Based on my personal experiences and the numerous anecdotes from others, I strongly advise against supporting Ani's Day and Night. Their unethical practices and disregard for their employees and partners make them a business that is simply not worth...

My family and I will not be returning. While we enjoyed the outdoor vendor market and spent a few hundred dollars supporting local vendors, the experience inside was ruined by the staff. I was met at the bar with a dismissive “yeah, what do you want?” and when my wife asked about a mocktail recommendation, the response was, “I don’t know, you’re the one drinking it.” To make matters worse, when I tried ordering a Brazilian limeade for my daughter listed on their own menu, the staff seemed unaware of it and a manager told me I was looking at incorrect menu. When I showed her it was in fact their website she stated “Oh ok. It’s a new website.” The overall attitude came across as unwelcoming and uninterested. It’s disappointing to see this kind of service in a city I grew up in. I encourage the staff to learn their menu and...

Neat spot. Friendly staff. They do not offer much food outside of baked goods.

The rotating options of Food Trucks are limited and marked up as if in a stadium. The 1 and only Truck available at 2pm on Sunday was a Taco Truck. They attempted to charge us $6.11 for just 1 Taco.

Ani's Day and Night really does deserve a 5 star as a standalone establishment. When taking into consideration my 1, first and only experience of the place; I couldn't say I was wow'ed.

To the Owner: WE WILL NOT COME BACK. I do get it. Gotta run a business. Things are costing more. Texas is hot. Gotta follow trends and keep up with the Jone's etc. Remember that you get to choose who you compete against. Choose wisely and maybe the business decisions would...

I wish I could go 10 star on service…you won’t find a better place in Austin to feel like you just stepped into your neighborhood - no matter where ya live. If it’s coffee, somethin. Soft, or my new love, the mez-call me margarita, these folks nailed it. If you’re lucky Corduroy is tending bar. Great conversation, great tender, and just the person to run into when your thirsty. Jessica gets a shout out too - just great. The food outside simply smashes all expectations. Check out the review. Then eat. And eat more! Damn. Ok, now to atmosphere. Call it stratosphere. Inside or out, cool is everywhere. And ya just feel like it’s home. Just reopened after a 9 month hiatus and man am I glad they did. Step out and step in.

Absolutely delightful experience! Yummmmy lemon blueberry danish (it’s hard to mess up a pastry in my book) + a large cappuccino = $11. Pretty typical pricing for boutique coffee shops. But this vibe was so calm, with art work you can buy off the walls from local artists, in an old creaky house with a great outdoor patio. When I visit Austin again I’ll be sure to stop back by here. The gal working the counter was so friendly and had great small talk with me while she made my coffee, rather than just taking my order. If it was later in the day I would have partaken in one of their cocktails! Definitely recommend stopping by here and supporting.

Very cute new spot on East Riverside! Coffee, cocktails and frozen boozy drinks served from a bright and colorfully decorated old home on way East Riverside. The interior is adorable and the AC is kickin! Outside there is plenty of covered seating for gathering with your Besties. There is a food trailer, that was not open when I was there in the middle of the day, but I was told it will be open mostly all the time. (They have only been open 2 Weeks, So I am Sure there is a grace period for all the kinks). Service was great, my iced oat milk latte was delish and I look forward to returning for a drink. Ample parking in back.
