I recently had the pleasure of visiting Athens Café, which has only been open for two weeks, and I was thoroughly impressed. I placed a to-go order in the evening and had the chicken gyro, which was absolutely amazing—delicious, filling, and perfectly cooked. It came with a refreshing side salad that complemented the dish perfectly.
When I arrived, it was clear that this was a family-run business, and they were still putting the final touches on the restaurant. One of the gentlemen was working on light fixtures, adding to the charm of the place. Despite the work still underway, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with family members buzzing around, ensuring everything was running smoothly.
What really stood out to me was how genuinely friendly and helpful everyone was, including the children, who were eager to assist. The little girl asked me if I was placing an order or picking up, and even came to hand me my order number that I had forgotten at the counter, as well as a business card—such a sweet touch!
The woman who I believe cooked and prepared my meal greeted me with a big smile as she handed me my food, making me feel right at home. As I was leaving, the gentleman working on the light fixtures added a delightful surprise: he said, “We put a baklava in there on the house.” As a huge fan of baklava, I was thrilled, and it did not disappoint—it was absolutely delicious!
I will definitely be returning to Athens Café and will be recommending it to all my friends and family. It's clear that this family has a genuine passion for what they do, and I have no doubt they’ll be seeing a lot of me, as I live just around the corner. Can't...

Took my wife and our 4 month old daughter to eat here tonight based on the pictures of their gyros and chicken kabobs and everything was picture perfect. Like seriously, the way they plate their gyros makes each one seem like it's going to have photos taken for an advertisment board or something. The lamb in the gyro was tender and well seasoned, and the chicken was even more tender than that if you can believe it.
We also ordered the babaghanouj & pita as well as their chicken soup and again; both were perfect. The babaghanouj was really fresh and the pita fresh out of the oven; it had a really great slightly crunchy slightly soft texture as well. The soup as other reviews have said are the perfect cold weather remedy.
And NOW for the best part: the service. I saw other reviews mention how warm and inviting the people are who run this place but I still was taken by surprise at how accomidating the older woman who I believe owns the business is. I only ordered 1 small chicken soup but she brought two out for both of us, gave us free fried dough dessert balls, and at one point came over and swaddled our daughter and gave her a tour around the shop while we ate (no joke)!
We came in complete strangers and left feeling almost like family filled with some real quality food from people who truly take pride in...

The soup transported me to Noni's kitchen where I sat and waited for soup and garlic bread. The Lentil soup was heavenly. The chicken soup (though not tasted) smelled like something that would heal a world-weary heart. I had some le til soup while waiting for my Gyro and instantly felt at home, safeguarded from everything bad and a slight melancholy for "what was." I'll be back, again and again and again. I'm kicking myself for not visiting sooner since I'm at the Game Kastle evey week or so and smell the deliciousness that their kitchen produces.
Not only do they serve food that should be criminal, for how delicious it is, their in-house (whether takeout or sit-down) service is bar-none. This is a restaurant t that serves their customers and only asks you given honest commentary on their food.
You can't beat food like this going to a place like Halal Guys, etc, where they bank on you being happy with an over-abundance of tumeric-colored rice + a minimally spiced Gyro. Be ready to pay extra for Tzatziki Sauce, it's worth it - whether for fries...
