I visited this place on a Thursday around 9 pm. I am giving 2 star just for the below average customer service and unhygienic activity I witnessed during my visit. When I entered the place there was no one to be seen on the front counter and I saw just one customer sitting on a table so it wasn't a situation where there were a lot of customers around at that time. Apparently somebody was there inside the kitchen and only after waiting around 8-10 minutes that person came out and I requested him that I wanted to taste some kunafe before I put the order. The person agreed and took a spatula/scraper to cut the sweets but that had some left over stuff stuck on to it maybe from prior use so he cleaned up the spatula directly by rubbing against the top of a trash can which was there in a corner. I felt this was extremely unhygienic and he should have used a kitchen towel or paper napkin to clean the spatula. The feedback that I want to leave here is please have at least two person at all times so that one person is available to attend to the customers on the front desk and please practice hygiene because even if you prepare and serve best of the delicacies if you don't follow healthy and hygienic practices nobody will like to...

Read moreBaklava House and Bakery truly embodies excellence in every sense! On my recent visit, I was captivated by their diverse array of handmade pastries ranging from cheesecake and cakes to rice pudding, cookies, and, of course, their signature baklavas. Their offerings showcase the rich flavors of the Middle East, and I must say, their baklavas are the best I've ever tasted in Austin. They strike the perfect balance, not overly sweet, allowing you to enjoy every flavorful bite filled with fresh, crunchy pecans and pistachios. Beyond the delectable pastries, their impeccable cleanliness stands out. The place is so pristine; it felt like hospital-grade clean! It's evident that they pour their heart and soul into their craft and space. It's essential to support local businesses, and Baklava House makes it easy with their warm hospitality, even treating guests to a complimentary baklava upon entry. Their outstanding quality suggests they'd fit right in at a premium location like the Domain. They've certainly won me over as a loyal customer. Highly...
