I’m really excited I found this place. Their tacos are full of flavor. I tried the bistec, al pastor, and albañil tacos. The albañil taco comes with chorizo, bistec, nopales, queso fresco, and cilantro. The bistec and al pastor tacos come with plenty of cilantro and grilled onion. I was happy with the amount of meat in each taco; they definitely don’t skimp on the meat. I also tried both of their spicy green salsas. Everything was so good. I ate my tacos in the car and then ended up coming back for more. Tacos are $3, tortas are $12, and you have to pay with cash. You may be able to find a less expensive taco place, but these tacos are worth it. I can’t wait to come back and try their tortas, which I’ve heard great things about.
A word of warning: I recommended this place to a friend, who ordered two tacos without cilantro and a torta, paying $18 in total. Unfortunately, he was only given one taco (with cilantro) and the torta. He tried explaining the issue to the owners, but since they mostly speak Spanish he wasn’t able to get the second taco he paid for. He really enjoyed the torta, but obviously was not too happy about not getting the correct tacos. I noticed they don’t give any receipts when you order, so maybe asking for a receipt can avoid these types of issues...
Read moreWasn’t aware this was a food truck and opens at 6pm, so the first time we tried going it was closed. Originally I was interested in trying their tacos but as soon as I got there and saw the tortas I HAD TO TRY ONE. I got the Torta Cubana with Sidral Mundet and my wife got the Torta Milanesa with a Mexican Coke. I think the total was like $16 which I thought was a good price. We waited less than 10 minutes. I think we got there at the perfect time because right when we got our food a lot of people started to show up. Man these tortas are no joke though, they are HUGE! So I was even more impressed with the total price. The Cubana has ham, sausage, Milanesa, pork ham, 3 different cheeses, and an egg on top! This thing was killer! The bread is really soft and I’m not sure if they make it as well but it tastes really fresh. I’m definitely coming back to try the tacos but those tortas were so freaking good. The staff is nice and keep the tables and salsa bar clean and stocked. You have to try this when you’re in the mood for some legit...
Read moreOh man, I really wanted to like this place but I think the reviews led me wrong 😭 I'm a huge foodie and this place has had my interest for a while with all the high reviews. Unfortunately, most of our food was lacking in flavor (even with the added salsas). We had 5 different tacos: trompo al pastor, campechano, tacos de albanil, barbacoa, and the bistec. We are trying to kick off eating at all the taco trucks on the taco mile and thought this would be a good place to start, with all the other options, I may not be back for tacos (but may try their tortas). The meat itself was just lacking in flavor, I always want my tacos to be more bold, but hoping it was just an off day. Not terrible, but just okay. If you prefer milder seasoning, maybe this place would maybe be a better fit for you.
Side notes, not a lot of parking, outdoor covered seating, cash only, but the staff were awesome and friendly. I think the tacos were also priced higher than other trucks...
