We've ordered take-out twice and eaten at the restaurant once. We've found pizzas we love, but we're still trying to figure out what else is worth ordering.

We've primarily ordered vegetarian options (V is veg, not vegan). I contacted the shop and they do have vegan cheese available for the pizza.

The pie crust is great. It's chewy and tasty but not floppy in the center or charred on the edges. It's a good thickness so you can eat slices and feel like you're not filling up on just bread.

We've ordered the mushroom pie, garlic pie, Love Supreme, and the fennel sausage pie. The garlic needs something else on it. It feels flat and is missing something to round out the flavor. I did not enjoy the Love Supreme, but that's because roasted kale and broccoli often come across as bitter to me. The fennel pie is sweet and meaty and really good. The mushroom is my favorite. It's creamy and rich and satisfying. The cooking on the pies is consistent both at the restaurant and with take-out. A friend of ours ordered the pepperoni pie and loved it. She said she was happy with the pepperoni to pizza ratio.

We also ordered the burrata and the carrot salad for take-out and opened the containers within minutes to eat. They're both large enough portions to be a meal, which justifies the price of $14 and $10, respectively. The burrata is bad. It was bland, watery, and felt partially dissolved. The salad on top of the cheese was unseasoned. It's served with plain cooked pie dough, which I makes sense but it'd be nice to have some sort of bread option. The carrot salad came with two dressing: zhoug (a fresh cilantro dressing that was supposed to be spicy but was not) and a sort of honey mustard. The mustard dressing didn't work with the carrots at all. The carrots were colorful and limp with fresh herbs and feta. The flavor was fine but it and the texture would have been much improved with some carmelization on them.

We also ordered the wings once. Good size, good sauce. A little sweet.

The restaurant itself is great. Lots of patio seating, a beautiful interior with great lighting that is designed to create a dimmer, more cozy space near the bar at the center of the room. I don't love the ordering at the bar because it's not well marked how or where you stand. Most people see a bar and think you can order from anywhere.

Parking is plentiful but it's also on the 20 bus line and the stops are about a block away in both directions. There needs to be more bike parking considering it's in a family friendly neighborhood and lot of people could travel in a more neighborly method.

Small but good selection of beer. I always appreciate seeing Electric Jellyfish available, but having it on draft is an...

UPDATE:

Been by a few times since and out side of the square pizzas going away, still great service, vibe and flavor. I spent some time inside for once (outside is just so great, but it was overcast and kind of stormy) and had a great time sitting at the bar--very swanky for a pizza place. My bartender, Joel, was amazing--recommendations on drinks and a pizza were spot-on...he knows his craft and exudes enthusiasm in sharing that pasion about mixology and pizza. The white sauce mushroom pizza--I added sausage--was rediculous...it cam out just wafting pheromones at me before it even settled at my chest at the bar. Whoa! Just incredible flavor and I always appreciate the crust here...a little chew without that crispy flatbread thing I despise elsewhere. I wolfed down a lime Mommenpop spritz in about 2 min. (too fast for a pic) and followed with a Supreme Sangria that was more amaro than anything else--very unusual, but pleasant. I finished with the Letti me love you, which stole the show--a very nice take on a negroni that other people should start replicating. Great atmosphere, stellar service, and tasty food with well-made drinks to support it all. 5 stars. Gets crowded fast, but my wife and I stopped by 5 min. before opening, so no issues with lines and service. Great patio, and we had really good drinks. Our 2 Aussies were welcome, so this place is dog friendly. The staff was friendly, smiles everywhere, and we'll be back to try more items for sure--I hear good things about the mushroom pizza, and we want to try the squared Detroit-style pan pizza after our great pepporoni basil try. My wife was surprised by their salad--really excellent--beets are great here! 4-5 stars without a doubt...we'll firm up...

If this has a 4.4 stars, the people eating here haven't had good pizza. The ingredient toppings and combinations might be slightly unique, I'll give them that, but not by much. The pizza really was "just okay". The outer crust edge is wide and the topped portion is kinda dry and flaky but not in a good way. Barely any sauce on the pizza. There's something definitely missing when it comes to a flavor. Eat bite leaves you really wanting something exciting but it never really comes. The sausage has such a strong flavor it over powers the other flavors on the pizza so they are really competing. They don't compliment each other all that well. The same went for one of the white pizzas with multiple cheeses... One cheese was the star of the show and the rest didn't complement it as a whole. Same flavor profile leaving an emptiness for the palate.

It was a slow day and only one other table, serve at the bar still seemed rushed and only slightly friendly. The host and food runner were nice but also seemed a little forced to help and be friendly. The nicest person I learn into that provided better service than them all was actually the woman cleaning the men's bathroom, when she had no obligation to be friendly or speak to me at all, so that was appreciated. The rest can learn from her.

The atmosphere is cool. Great design and vibe inside and out. It looks trendy and feels relaxed and welcoming... I've come to learn though that this draws your basic pumpkin spice latte drinking basic white girl crowd though... And that explains the high ratings.

I personally wouldn't come back here if I wanted good pizza. I can get better at Little Caesars to be quite honest. I'll say it again...there's just nothing special about...

I recently visited Love Supreme Pizza Bar in Austin, and my experience left me with mixed feelings. Let’s break it down: Atmosphere and Service: The restaurant exudes a hip and mellow vibe, perfect for a casual hangout. Unfortunately, my encounter with Joel was less than stellar. His customer service bordered on unwelcoming. Thankfully, Jessica swooped in with her sweet attitude and bubbly personality, saving the day. Pizza Quality: The pizzas at Love Supreme are visually appealing—aesthetically pleasing, to say the least. However, the taste was a different story. When I bit into the pizza, I was met with a disappointing combination of blandness and greasiness. It felt like a missed opportunity. Recommendation: I sincerely hope that my visit coincided with an off day for the kitchen. Perhaps they can improve the flavor profile. As it stands, I hesitate to recommend Love Supreme Pizza Bar in its current state. The potential is there, especially given the McElroy brothers’ involvement (co-owners of Thunderbird Coffee and Bird Bird Biscuit). In summary, Love Supreme needs to step up its game in the taste department. If they can elevate their pizza game, I might consider giving it another shot. For now, though, it’s a laydown. Remember, restaurant experiences can vary, and everyone has different tastes. Perhaps others have had better luck at Love Supreme. 🍽️👍
