I was looking through reviews for nearby interior Mexican cuisine restaurants when I came across one that had five stars. While not impossible, as a practicality it is extremely difficult to do on Google.

Needless to say my interest was piiqued, and one dish in particular stood out. I ordered three of Quesabirria De Chivo Con ConsomƩ (roughly translated to goat taco/quesadilla mashup with goat broth), and they were utterly fantastic.

The quesabirria was a first for me, but not a last, with cheese, meat, onions, and cilantro placed in a corn tortilla folded into a taco and grilled until crispy.

Wow.

It included two types of fresh salsa, both flavorful and spicy. Just one of the all around best meals I have eaten in a while.

They also appear to have rotating specials every day (I saw pork ribs in salsa Verde) along with 20 kinds of tacos. I am gonna have to work my way through some of their other offerings ASAP. I suspect there are other hidden treats that I am not even aware of.

Check this place out. Bring cash (they don't accept credit cards). The owners are super nice and do it all themselves. They even have real plates and silverware if you are eating there (they have about 10 picnic tables, several of which are shaded).

If you like authentic interior Mexican food, you will love this...

Super Fresh and absolutely delicious!! Cute retro looking taco truck with very cute outdoor seating. The lovely woman taking care of us was so sweet, gave us explanations on a few things we asked about. She really customized our order to our preferences. We started off with agua Fresca, they were excellent. Sweet and icy with fresh fruits. Everything was made to order and it was all good. Shrimp tacos were light and the veg was still a bit crunchy, my fave. My husband loved the carnitas tacos. Tortillas were perfect. She served us at our table and brought out an array of homemade salsas that were each one better than the first, along with a mix of cilantro , radish and carrot to add even more texture to your tacos. They were presented in theses beautiful colored bowls that really made this feel like a restaurant experience. We can’t...

I’ve lived down the street for years and just now discovered this gem!!! Let me tell you how quickly I became obsessed with Maria’s food! Her frescas are MADE TO ORDER! Like what?! Tortillas? Homemade and also MADE TO ORDER. You not only get fresh made to order food but she blesses us with her salsas to eat with anything you order. Same service and same great food every time. I’m addicted to her breakfast tacos so I’m there as early as 9am, she’s open at 7am! She recently changed locations so her new address is 12030 N Lamar Blvd.! Don’t sleep on her!! You’re gonna love how fresh everything is! Give...
