Impressively delicious. Let yourself be treated nicely. Food is deliciously seasoned and you can tell it’s fresh. We ordered saag paneer, aloo gobi, samosas, tandoori tikka chicken, masala tea, roti and rasmalai for dessert. I’m pregnant so had to order medium spicy, ir was perfect. We could tell how much energy is put in the food and service. It was late for us so we decided to leave half of our food to enjoy today. We can’t wait to have a lovely lunch.

In a little more depth: chicken was perfectly tender and spiced, delicious tikka sauce served with fresh green peppers. Saag paneer was buttery, soft and delicious. And the paneer had a great texture and flavor to it. Aloo gobi with fresh veggies and a tangy tomato sauce did not disappoint. Buttery roti and perfect basmati helped us have a scrumptious dinner. Having had such a great experience we were very curious about dessert and wow, the rasmalai was super creamy and had the right amount of cardamom which left us swayed. My husband had the masala tea which I didn’t try but he said it was great. I don’t drink tea late at night. Oh and I almost forgot about the samosas, these were a little different to what we were used to but also really yummy and not oily which I appreciated.

We dined here on a Monday, something we don’t usually do as restaurants tend to have bad service but we were hungry and read reviews so thought we’d give it a try. Service was great, from the host to the server and even the chef greeted us. Which reminds me, food in here is cooked by a chef! It’s been long and not even in Texas that we encountered an Indian/Nepal restaurant that used good serveware. Food was much more enjoyable just because we had decent plates and flatware. There is just so much attention to detail. We also had a complimentary appetizer that we enjoyed a lot. A crispy wafer with some Indian/Nepal chutneys. My favorite was the onion one but I kept on adding mint to everything.

Do go, do try and go hungry!...

After I arrived home excited that I finally found and Indian Restaurant that prepares biryani. What a disappointment.

The goat biryani was awful and unpleasant to continue eating. I've eaten exceptional goat biryani in Los Angeles but this Curry Kitchen Restaurant In Pflugerville Texas has disappointed my taste buds.

The pieces of goat meat I wouldn't feed my dog. The goat meat was fatty, boney with tough skin very unpleasant to finish. It was apparent that the goat biryani was thrown together it just made me sick in the stomach. I couldn't even find any meat it was lots of bones.

It was then I realized I wasted $22.18 for a bowl of rice and bits and pieces of Scrap meat. I waited over 45 minutes for a meal I was told would be ready in 20 minutes.

I should've gone with my first Instincts to eat at Cracker Barrel I would have had an excellent outstanding meal for less than $22. While I was still waiting for my biryani past 20 minutes I noticed a family from India placed an order at the register and 10 minutes later they were served.

It was clear right before my eyes I was racially profiled just because I was African American. The guilt was very clear on the owners faces because they look right at me explaining themselves with guilt. But I was the better person once my food was ready at almost 50 minutes I thank them and left.

I will not return to Curry Kitchen anymore for these reasons as stated above. I have nothing to gain from this review, I just want people to know what happened at Curry Kitchen that made my visit and food...

So I was visiting Austin,Texas and a family member suggested us to check out this place. I ordered mango chicken and one chick biryani. We went to go pick it up and it tasted pretty good. But I noticed I was charged for two biryani and called them back and a lady picked up and told me oh we thought you wanted two order of biryani . So she suggest or offered to give me a refund or a free biryani next time on us. I choose to get the free one since am already staying for a couple more days. The next day or so I called in told her it was me and she got it ready. I felt bad so I asked her charge me for appetizer. Which she did and it was two vegan samosa. So far everything is great food is ok (I tasted better) but no complaints on my end. But the reason why am giving them one star and why I recommend everyone to be careful is on the following week March 8. I ordered chicken biryani ( keep in mind am paying and I told her my name it’s for me) . I went there pick it up and came back home and ate it. Every since that day I havnt been the same I been two urgent care visits since . My Stomach ache , acid reflux , etc you name I got it from this food. Before this I was healthy young man who ate clean and do not smoke. So my gut feeling is the contaminated my food on purpose because I got something free or call them out on over charging me. Please keep in mind I have ate this type of food before for many years and this never happen nor have I ever felt this type of pain. I just want do my part in society and call out people like this be careful about...

We were just done with Ms malice's graduation from ACC with an associates of Art in anthropology. She's immediately said I want to go to Curry kitchen. This little shop has been around for a little bit and we don't eat here as much as I'd like to say we do, but at least once every 6 months will come in. Starting off the service is always excellent. Jay saw my wife 's graduation robes and immediately congratulated her. Once we were seated and we had a chance to look at the menu, they even offered her a free alcoholic beverage which she did take a glass of wine. We're not saying this because we think they're going to give everybody a free glass of wine, but it happened for our experience so your miles may vary. We started off with an appetizer called Pawnee Perry. It is a crisp puffed rice cracker. I believe that is filled with chickpeas and potatoes and you add a spicy sauce to it. It's crispy, spicy, tangy and delicious. I highly recommend it. For our main dishes my wife got the chicken biryani and I got the lamb biryani. The portions for the entrees are huge. As you can see it is piled above the plate. I didn't take a picture of this but I only ate a third of mine. You are asked what spice level you want. Medium is a three fives extreme. I got a four and it makes you sweat a little bit. The wife got a three. She's still sweated. I love this place. It's great experience and the food is really good. They do get busy at night so definitely try to stop it a little bit earlier in the evening to ensure a seat.

This family owned restaurant opened just 6 months ago. I came from Chicago visiting family in Austin and decided to give this place a try. We were incredibly surprised by how amazing the service was. Three kids and a big mess, but they were so understanding and welcoming. While we waited for our order they brought out some chatni and puffed chips so delicious and kept us busy while we waited. We ordered the Bhindi Masala with chili and garlic naan bread - so delicious for all my okra lovers out there. We also ordered the lamb biryani which was so flavorful and delicious. The lamb was extremely tender. For the kids we got the chicken mango malai, let me tell you, the kids LOVED it - one 19 month old, one 2 year old and one VERY picky 6 year old devoured it. Even the adults at the table were sneaking bites off the kids plates to try haha. We also ordered the butter chicken which was a tad spicy for the kids but we all thoroughly enjoyed it. This was hands down not only the best restaurant I’ve visited in Austin but also one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life. This is my new go to spot anytime I visit the Austin area.
