Big Easy Saloon — Restaurant in Pflugerville

Me and my husband used to be regular customers when this bar was called City Limits. It was a place that we could go when we wanted to participate in a sweepstakes casino, atmosphere that had music and a lot of socializing and so many people. It was a simple bar, but the atmosphere was electric, the casino was inviting because you could always win something.And the games were set up so that you won more than you lost usually, although you did lose sometimes, at the least break even and you always look forward to going. We could spend five or six hours there easily,and come home usually without spending too much out of pocket. The bar had exceptional service and you never felt like you were getting watered down drinks. We have visited the Big e Easy Saloon, since it changed ownership and let me tell you, it is the worst sweepstakes casino you have ever been to. Not only have they tried to make it into some sort of high class bar that serves overpriced food and drinks that basically are just water ( I had to order the bartender charged $13.50 and when I asked her for a cranberry and vodka double, she gave me a glass of cranberry, and two separate shots in shot, and the drink was still watered down)It was a saturday, usually a lively day with so many people that you can't even walk into the place, when it was City Limits. Sadly, there were maybe ten people there on a saturday after 9:00 pm closer to 10:00 pm. There was a live band but unfortunately less then 10 people were in the bar. They replaced, making sure customers are happy with their winnings and going home feeling like they had a good night on the town, with an overpriced menu,Flowers on the tables outside, and a fancy sign out front, pinball and arcade games, and the name Big Easy Saloon, instead of stiff drinks, great music, plenty of people, awesome bartenders,and a chance to win big. My suggestion is do not think you are going to get the original City Limits. It might have been a dive to some, but for us who like sweepstakes casinos, and actually, bringing home winnings City Limits had it right. I love this place and enjoy spending my free time here but recently an employee by the name of Maria has been making my experience at this location quite lackluster it sucks to see such depressed and unmotivated workers I come to relax after a hard days work I have a wife at home I don’t need to deal with another attitude. We had an hour to kill while waiting on the packed Texas Roadhouse so we wandered over here. It's a gaming (gambling) room that allows smoking (very smoky) and I guess due to the laws around the machines they don't sell alcohol but they will give you some in exchange for however much paper you think it's worth. Bit of an oddity but it was interesting for a drink and nobody paid us very out of place...
