To reviewer Andy Su. First, let me apologize for not standing up for you during your visit to Golden Chick, in Oak Hill on Saturday about a month ago. I have struggled with the fact that I didn't help. I was one of 2 customers eating inside the restaurant at the time of your visit. I have spent the last ten years in SE Asia, and picked up on the language barrier immediately. The guy who you had to deal with was beyond rude. It made my experience during my lunch break very uncomfortable.
The guy at the drive thru window was rude, condescending, and a bit racist, not only to your face, but after you left. He not only gave you a hard time for calling the ketchup packet tomato sauce, but he continued his remarks to the rest of the crew long after you left. I have seen this type of behavior by people who don't understand that English is not everyone's first language. He needs to be trained better. However, I'm not sure that's even possible as he claimed to be the owner when you asked to speak to a manager.
I would like the real owners to know that a lot of us at NXP visit your establishment. Everyone is shocked to hear of my experience, as well as Andy's.    Read moreI just so happen to live right behind this location so stopping there is a routine for my family just about two or three times a week, but for the past three days weâve tried the chicken tenders like we usually would and theyâre completely different from what were used to. For some reason they have been extremely dry lately and some kind of hard to chew cartilage type texture has been down the center inside of just about each and everyone. Including today we ordered a 25 tender family meal with 3 family size sides because we had company, out of eight people seven complained about it being in each tender the one out of the eight that had complaintsâŠ. The one out of the eight who had no complaints is two years old which is pretty self-explanatory and honestly I donât know whatâs going on but Iâm begging you guys to fix itmy favorite restaurants Iâm not asking for a refund or replacement just my moneys worth when visiting the restaurant.    Read moreI've been patiently waiting for Golden Chick to reopen their dining room and today it paid off when I sat down at a table, in air conditioned comfort and had fantastic fried chicken! I like eating fried chicken while it's still very hot but crunchy chicken batter and the dark interior of my car do not happily co-exist so dining inside made the chicken taste even better! The mashed potatoes and gravy are OK but chicken will always be the star of the show at the eponymous named chicken chain that got it's start 50 years ago in San Marcos. The yeast roll was also great as usual and the only thing missing was the self serve, "soft serve" ice cream, a temporary casuality of Covid according to the cashier. I like all the sides at GC and you can get two sides instead of one at no additional charge if you forego the beverage that comes with most combo meals.
