I try not to come here. The traffic getting in and out of this place is rubbish. I am so puzzled as to why the highway has traffic lights every few hundred feet. The buildings here are old, and a lot of the businesses have been there for a while, I guess they stay in business due to the densely populated lower income neighborhood directly behind the shopping center. The HEB lacks a bunch of stuff, so I dont use that one unless I want challah bread. Theirs is really good. That is one of the cool things about HEB is the stores cater to the neighborhoods demographic. There are so many cultures in central texas. The McDonalds has been there with the same hallmark mediocre food and service forever. And sometimes I meet people from craigslist in the dirty parking lot. Covered in oil stains. I really like this HEB but my wife and I have an on going joke that really isn't funny but has become so true. So, everytime we go to check out, the people in front of us get there groceries bagged by an HEB employee and then when it's our turn they walk away...EVERY TIME. The funny part (well, not really) is they all stand around and talk while we're here bagging $200.00 worth of stuff. It's a bit unprofessional to he honest. But sadly, I already know that it's going to happen each time. Today, there were 5 employees standing in front of the exit talking and blocking the way out. How come none of them could help bag? Going forward, I'm just going to ask them for help. Rosalia did help bag which was much...
Read moreI was on my way too work when I was accosted by a young African-American man, she was videotaping me walking on the path to the HEB. I found out later he was one of the security guards that works the center of the Hills Shopping Center. He was following me & videotaping me walking to the HEB store. When I looked up from my phone he was telling me in a very ugly tone that there was no loitering allowed at the HEB, too late I replied I was on my way to work never stopped I didn't recognize him as a security guard at the time, then he followed me screaming obscenities at me & trying to intimidate me....well he scared the pants off of me. He scared me so badly I had to wait inside the store with the manager for my boss to come pick me up it's terrible the way he treats people he has no business working in security because he has a short temper and a...
