Amazing homemade Vietnamese food! Hanh runs the truck by herself and has a variety of yummy appetizers, main dishes, drinks, and desserts. We called ahead and she told me about 25 minutes for everything to be ready. We ordered: #4 or 5 Lemongrass skewers (10/10) - wow these flavors and tendor meat were so good! I really liked this if you don't mind strong flavors #7 Fried fish balls (6/10) - not as flavorful as the lemongrass but you can dip it in the sweet chili sauce provided #9 Special Banh Mi (7/10) - more on the sweet side so not as traditional but we really enjoyed the mixture of bbq pork, pate, and pork loaf. #31 Vietnamese Beef Stew & Tapioca Strip (20/10) - my favorite dish so far! The soup is so well made and not too thick. The meat, meatballs, and tendons were a great mixture and super tendor. The tapioca strips are basically rice noodles which I preferred over a baguette (#32) but it's a preference thing. #24B Vietnamese ice coffee with milk (9/10) - if you know Vietnamese coffee, you know it's strong! Very good and sweet. The atmosphere at Thicket Park is also great with a playground, toys for kids, and a lot of food trucks. Great shade from trees and plenty of parking in the gravel. My first time here and I will definitely come back. Go support Hanh!

I had the pleasure of visiting Hanh’s Homemade Kitchen at Thicket Food Park, and I can’t recommend it enough! We tried the Shrimp Spring Rolls, Braised Pork Belly Banh Mi, and Pork Bao Buns — each dish was absolutely incredible. The shrimp spring rolls were fresh, packed with flavor, and paired perfectly with a delicious dipping sauce. The braised pork belly banh mi was a standout — rich, tender pork balanced by crisp veggies and a perfectly toasted baguette. And the pork bao buns? Fluffy, savory, and just melt-in-your-mouth amazing. Beyond the fantastic food, what really stood out was the warmth of the owner. You can tell she pours her heart into every dish, and her kindness makes the whole experience even better. If you’re at Thicket Food Park, Hanh’s Homemade Kitchen is a must-try! You won’t be disappointed.

Some of the best Vietnamese food in Austin. They have a wide variety of vegetarian options & the fried rice is to die for. The Thicket Food park is also great for kids to run around and play at.

Hahn’s homemade is amazing. Her Bahn mi is my new favorite in town. With homemade tofu that is unique and a wonderful sauce. So good. She is able to make that and several other things vegan. If you let her know. I can’t wait to try other things. Items impossible to find done so authentic and made with love. Her story is amazing. Please help support small woman owned businesses that cater even to vegans.

I believe her hours are roughly Wednesday-Sunday 4pm to 9pm. Please check her out.

Ps: her butterfly pea tea and mango drink are delicious and refreshing.

Update: I tried the tofu and mushroom (rice flour)pancake which is vegan. She recommends eating there. I took it to go. I asked for no fish sauce. She instead gave a prepared soy sauce mix to dip with. It is huge. Perfect to share with someone else or make two meals out of. Really good.

I just tried here new tofu papaya salad (12/24). Super bomb. Like really delicious. It’s vegan. Totally...

I dropped in here randomly. I was on the way home from work looking for artipasta and this was the only place open. The only thing that looked good to me at the time was the special banh mi. And, what do you know, they’re out. They’re out of everything. They only have fried rice. That’s not something I normally order. I don’t mind fried rice but it’s never been the main course for me. The lady running the truck up sold me on spring rolls as well. I’m so glad about all of this. The spring rolls were fresh and crispy and delicious. The fried rice was super well balanced and had enough protein and maillard as well as good individual grains of perfectly cooked and seasoned rice. It ended up being delicious and satisfying when I was expecting to go to bed half satisfied. Now, I just can’t wait to go back and try the special banh mi I wanted. I assume it’s...
