It's a cute place and was supposed to be good but I went on Sunday and ordered a lunch plate, enchiladas de mariscos, and she said "we don't serve lunch right now, only breakfast and dinner, but we can do it for $6 more". It was 11:51am when I ordered and it says on their menu they don't serve lunch specials on the weekends but nothing about regular lunch plates. I ordered it anyways and wow, a bit of salt or pepper does wonders for a $17 plate of food which they apparently didn't know, also, the plate was supposed to have "fresh fish, calamari and shrimp" and I found two of the tiniest pieces of squid inside with zero "fresh fish" or "shrimp" which I brought to the attention of the server and was brought 6 tiny shrimp pieces to add to my tiny pretend seafood $17 lunch plate that they don't serve on Sunday. Overall underwhelmed and unsatisfied with both taste and price. BTW the plate was advertised at $10 and was upcharged to $17, which I wouldn't mind if it was good or even close to what was advertised. I know, I sound like I'm being nitpicky but I'm not, check out all of my reviews and I'll also put pictures, one shows the tiny slice of squid.

This place is pretty ok. I'd come back. I had the ceviche and the chicken chili relleno. The chips in the basket were from a bag, the salsa they set next to them was... Disappointing. They made my munchies go away but I didn't feel the need to finish the basket or ask for more. The ceviche was quite good, though since it was an appetizer it was small for my tastes. If the rest of the meal was as good, this would have crossed the 4 star mark with ease. The chili relleno itself was ok though the chicken inside was middling. The rice was uninviting and it's preperation was largely ignored. The beans and sauce were uneventful. The staff was preoccupied but not rude. The atmosphere was pleasant and clean. The prices were a tad high. I ate everything and I would have lunch here again. I wouldn't take a date here I wanted to impress.

A nice intimate bistro style atmosphere with excellent food. On weekends they have musical accompaniment for your dining. We focused on the enchiladas this visit. The Suizas Tradicionales was great but the Platon de Enchiladas de Mole, was excellent with a selection of three different styles of Mole sauce. The three different mole sauces were a blast of flavor combinations, each with its own spark — Blanco (served over seafood enchiladas), Poblano (over chicken enchiladas) and Mantelas (typically served over beef enchiladas). Each was a subtle mix of ground chiles, spices and pine nuts or almonds. Rich with flavor and que delicioso. The margaritas were also solid, the lime mix was not too tart or overbearing. The background noise makes it difficult to have a conversation. Overall a nice place with good food.

I wish I had read the reviews before visiting this restaurant—everything makes sense now. It seems they tend to add surprise upcharges that are never mentioned. My husband, two kids, and I visited today. While we enjoyed our meal and found the service attentive, we were completely blindsided by extra charges our server failed to inform us about. We had estimated that our meal, including tip, would cost around $70. To our surprise, the final bill was $115, tip included.

It wasn’t just the cost that upset us—it was the lack of transparency. For instance, I’ve never been to a Mexican restaurant that charges extra for choosing corn tortillas over flour tortillas. I ended up paying over $8 for corn tortillas, completely unaware that they were “special” or “homemade” and came with an additional cost. Had I known, I would’ve happily stuck with the flour tortillas.

After paying, I politely explained the situation to the manager. Unfortunately, his response was disappointing. He simply mentioned that he had already spoken to the servers about explaining these charges, but made no effort to resolve the issue or take responsibility for the restaurant’s mistake. He even pointed out that the server had undercharged us for a change to my child’s meal—again, something we were never informed about. Instead of addressing the problem, the manager seemed more concerned with the server’s error than with making sure we felt valued as customers.

Because of this experience, we won’t be returning. It’s not about the money or the food—it’s the lack of consideration for the customer that left a bad taste...

I was excited to try this place because it’s called “hecho en Mexico” I have family from Mexico and I know plenty of authentic plates. The atmosphere is sub par, quiet.. no music playing except bohemian rhapsody, although I love the music, it’s not authentic Mexican music.

Starters- chips and salsa, chips are super flimsy and you can hardly scoop salsa, the salsa was unappealing and wasn’t good. The only other salsa option was too spicy to enjoy at all. The original ceviche was amazing but it was unusual that it’s served with three thicker tortilla chips and you have to pay for extra.

I ordered horchata and my husband ordered tamarindo, they tasted pretty good but the horchata does has a strong cinnamon kick at the end which wasn’t too enjoyable. Also, 10-12oz cup NO REFILLS and it costs $5 so just enough to taste but not enjoy with food.

I ordered eggs, jamón, beans and papas, but the papas were hard. I had to actually use a knife to cut them which is not what i imagine when I think of papas that aren’t fried. Fried papas, you expect a crunch but not papas made on a flat top grill.

Toward the end, received the check, charged 1.19 for a convenience fee for whatever reason and 2.99% for a credit card convenience fee.

Extra fees for whatever reason??? What was convenient??

Wouldn’t return again, wouldn’t recommend either. Not one Latino in the restaurant except the employees… not surprised. You’re paying for location here not the...

I use to love coming to this restaurant, specifically for their mole enchiladas. Unfortunately, their values in their customers has dramatically dropped. I called several times to order to go on multiple occasions and a staff would pick up the phone and then hang it up. When I spoke to a manager about this, he said, "I know who you're talking about; he's a family member and so I'll talk him again about it." That was all he kept saying; this one of the most unprofessional ways to handle this and ensure your customers come back. He made it sound like there was nothing he could do because he's family. Family is not any of the customers business; only the service and the food is. This manager put the blame else where instead of owning up for the mistake with sympathy for the customers instead of giving the customers information that doesn't matter and saying he can't do anything about it because it's a family member. There was 0 effort to ensure I come back and 0 effort to ensure that they don't lose customers and therefore money! I am never going back to this place again since clearly, they do not need my money, positive reviews, and customers who supports...
