I really was dreading the idea of reupholstering my grandmother's old chair. It was from the mid 90s, dated & ugly... lots of cat scratches, and never fit in well with my other furniture. I thought it would be easier just to offload it on craigslist and buy something new... but I couldn't part from something my grandmother left me.

I set a new year's goal to have it reupholstered in 2022. I did a few google searches and time and time again I would see New York Interiors. I did a quick stop by their office off of 290 and within minutes I was already looking at fabric choices.

It took a couple of visits until I nailed down the right fabric pick for me. I put down the deposit on the fabric, and when the fabric arrived a week later they came and picked up the chair.

One of the greatest things about using them was that they actually came and picked up the chair from my third floor apartment and dropped it off within a month or so.

I felt the prices were reasonable and Ramiro always responded to my texts when I had questions.

Without any hesitation I would recommend them to anyone and would reuse them again. I really think reupholstering old furniture may be the way to go for me...

AMAZING! I just moved to the Austin area- had 2 wing chairs that required upholstery. After calls to several upholsterers I called Ramiro at NY Interiors. I sent a picture of my project and he gave me an instant quote, which was very reasonable. Upon meeting him I instantly liked him and felt comfortable that he had the experience he said he did. Ramiro picked up and delivered my chairs at no extra cost- it's part of his service!!!! I think that's special. Anyway, I couldn't be happier with the work. He did a beautiful job.

Ramiro was honest with me, didn't over-sell me things I didn't need, carefully advised me, and did exactly what he said he would. It took about 10 days to complete the work. I could not have had a better experience.

I took fabric I had purchased from another store which was not a problem. However, if you're thinking about upholstering do check out the fabric selections he has in his store. They're really lovely and he can help you with what will work well and what won't.

This was our second time working with Ramiro and New York Interiors and was another fantastic experience. Our first piece with them was reupholstering a couch - they had to get this massive sleeper sofa down three stories in an apartment and back up which was no small task. The couch looked great.

The second piece was very special. It was a sette from my great-great aunt - my mom had it for a long time in her bedroom and had it reupholstered black and gold. I've had it for a few years and that just wasn't my style. We finally pulled the trigger on getting it reupholstered and refinished to match our vibe. Not only did Ramiro help us determine the best shade of the greens we were looking with to go with the room but he and his team outdid himself once again. The sette looks gorgeous, the wood has never looked better and it works so well with our space. My mom cried when I facetimed to show her so she was in love with how it turned out. Can't recommend the New York Interiors...
