KFC — Restaurant in Austin

Yesterday I went to this KFC and had an awful experience. I ordered a two piece with mashed potatoes and gravy and potato wedges and a 1/2 gallon of tea (a new thing). The guy taking the order was dully disinterested. The chicken I got was kind of gross with the skin partly falling off. The mashed potatoes looked like they'd been liberally shaken. The best part of the meal was the biscuit. I didn't get the wedges... he wasn't paying attention apparently, and he was even the one that asked me if I wanted two sides or a drink and a side.

3/4 of the times I've gone they've never had these 1/2 gallon bottles so they couldn't sell me the tea (it's a nice idea for work) but this time FINALLY they did. Problem was, I'd asked for a half and half tea (you cut the sweet of the tea with half unsweet tea... most places don't have a problem accomodating this) Right in front of me at the window the guy filled my bottle with nothing but sweet tea... and put a little dribble of unsweet in. I did not call him on it, thinking, okay... how sweet could this tea be? I won't ruin his day over something so small as long as the tea is drinkable.

I was wrong again. The tea was so sweet it was awful. I ended up leaving it at work for someone who wanted a sugar rush. All in all my experience was horrible and I'm going to avoid this place in the future. For the first time in several years I have known KFC I regretted patronizing them. If I was a first timer I would have concluded that KFC meal is tasteless and baseless, however I realize that its franchised operated, therefore quality of food and service may vary but KFC should really step in and review the quality of food and services rendered by her operators. If this is not done it would soon make people to go to other food service companies. I bought a 3 PC combo from this outlet and was shocked by the taste of the chicken, it tasted so sour as if the chicken has lasted for months, worse still there was oil all over the chicken so much so that it was dropping off and stained the cover papers and tissue used to pack the stuff. The only thing that was good was the mashed potato. I was really disappointed and regretted coming here. Please and please KFC should step in to protect the KFC brand from some outlets who does not represent all KFC stands for. I hardly do reviews but thought I should let the outlet owner know that they have poor quality food and service and I wasn't surprise to read poor rating from several other customers that visited this store in the past. Coming all the way from Kansas to visit, my children had gone thru the drive thru and ordered a bucket of chicken. To my surprise the chicken was very ,very dark. This gos to show management is lazy , and slacking off there job. There lazy to change the frying oil let alone up keep the place. My son had worked for a KFC in another city as his first job and he explained to me when the chicken crust is so dark it's because the frying oil has not been changed..The owner of the location he worked out of had a very clean place and his chicken was very light and fresh. His location had 5 stars along with on going traffic in and out.This has been the most gross chicken in my life from any other location I have ever seen ..Sadly money had went to waste and chicken had to be trashed. I had my daughter call to complain and no chicken in return nor money credited . This is absolutely, absolutely unhealthy food being served and the Health Inspector should not allow this place to continue business.The owner is really destroying the reputation of Kentucky when it's suppose to be one of our eldest best place to eat..Shame on you owner for allowing this...
