Pizza Patrón Ed Bluestein Blvd — Restaurant in Austin

Earlier this evening, I called to place an order and a female answered only saying the word "HOLD". She placed the phone down and I heard the background for nearly 5min, and I didn't even hear her or anyone speaking so I'm not sure why I was placed on hold. Also, I wasn't even sure that I had called Pizza Patron considering that she failed to identidy herself or the business so I hung up and called back. To my surprise, I got another demanding "HOLD" and nothing else! I hung up and called back a 3rd time and the line was busy. On my 4th call, a very nice gentleman answered and finally took my order. Upon arriving, I met with the rude young lady face to face and i knew it was her because she looked just like she sounded over the phone... rude as anything. She didn't offer to assist me. The young man who took my phone order walked over from the back to assist me. As he cashed me out, I asked him who was the young lady who was rude to me over the phone, and he actually shushed me (because she was right next to him)! Although he shushed me in a friendly manner with a smirk on his face, I advised him to never shush a customer. In fact, he should've apologized for his colleague's incompetence and rudeness then retrained her on providing world-class customer service otherwise she needs to stay in the back of the store building pizza boxes (away from customers) . I had to remind him that employees like her are the reason for their store's...

The first pizza I ever tried from here was fantastic. 5 stars.

My second pizza, a chorizo and onion, wasn't that great. They originally forgot to put chorizo on it, but I caught that before I even left the restaurant so it was easy for them to fix it and I didn't mind the extra wait. Mistakes happen.

However, it appears they fixed their mistake by just throwing chorizo on top of the mistake pizza, which resulted in most of the chorizo falling off when I tried to get a slice. Additionally, the pizza was really dry with very little sauce, which makes me suspect they reheated the mistake pizza in an attempt to get the chorizo to stick, which dried out the pizza.

I would have much preferred they just started over again and gave me a fresh pizza. I wouldn't have minded waiting the extra 20 minutes instead of the short five minutes that resulted in a rather disappointing pizza. This was a 1 star experience.

I think I will try ordering online instead of over the phone and see if that helps prevent such mishaps in the first place.

Food is good. Customer service is horrible especially rude cashier.(1 Star is to much credit) I called while driving he put me on hold for about 15 minutes I arrived and they were not busy at all, he was actually chitchatting with coworkers while I’m still on hold on the phone sitting on the counter.
