This place ripped me off today. I've been coming regularly since this location opened, but after today's experience, never again.

I ordered the matcha cloud w/no ice. The employee gave me the standard warning that the cup will not be completely full. This is standard at all boba places and unless I'm getting the grapefruit smash slushie, I ALWAYS get no ice for my drinks here, so I'm familiar with the policy.

Except when my order comes out, the cup was BARELY half full. The top of the cream came up to the halfway mark. The actual milk and matcha drink itself was 1/3 of the cup.

I pointed out the issue to an employee, and the manager came out saying this was expected. I explained to him that while I didn't expect a full cup, I always get no ice for my drinks and the cups have always been 75% full and I expected the same here. After some back and forth, he finally agreed to add some milk.

The picture below is what the final drink looked like. You can see that the actual liquid comes up halfway but even with the foam, the cup's not even 75% full. Every other boba place, INCLUDING this location, usually just leaves about a 1-inch gap from the top if a drink has no ice.

This was a total rip off for a $7 drink, and the manager even tried to blame me by saying they don't normally allow for no ice for their matcha drinks. Ok, so why didn't the employee tell me that when I made my order? Why was I allowed to get the coconut matcha with no ice several weeks ago?

Their drink quality has been hit or miss for a while now; after today's experience, I see no reason to come back. Hui Lau Shan, B2J Tasty Pot, and Chicha San Chen all offer great dessert experiences within the same...

This place was honestly so disappointing i followed them on instagram for a long time and the first time i went i was so excited not only that but this was on my 2 year anniversary with my boyfriend. I go to the register order my drink and they start adding toppings without my consent which they removed when i asked which was good but they were all talking amongst each other before helping me and when i asked to split payment ($20 cash and the rest card) they lowkey uncharged me an extra 50 cents and just took the $20 but it took like 4 workers to do this and they were all making a big deal making me uncomfortable so i just tried to just get it over with and didn’t say anything. while i waited for my drinks i used the vending machine which was incredibly rigged $6/ 5 tries which i grabbed the plushie about 4 of the 5 times but there’s a sensor and the claw will drop the item so you can’t win it super unfair and annoying i finally got my items. and i was very disappointed with the Grapefruit honey drink it does not taste like grapefruit or honey at all it actually tastes more like purfume/ body spray it was so horrible i couldn’t finish it i also got the sweet fries which were alright, definitely not worth $6 the coco mango was the only thing that was decent besides that i didn’t feel comfortable here my boyfriend also asked for a fork and they rudely said no like he asked a stupid question this place is very MID and DISAPPOINTING do...

Milk+Tea in Austin has quickly become one of my favorite spots for boba! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is so welcoming and modern, with plenty of seating to relax or catch up with friends. The staff is always friendly and patient, even when I can’t decide which drink to try next.

What sets Milk+Tea apart is the quality and freshness of their drinks. The teas taste smooth and perfectly brewed, and the boba is consistently soft and chewy—never too sweet, never too hard. My go-to is the Classic Milk Tea with honey boba, but I’ve also loved the Taro Milk Tea and their seasonal specials. They even have non-dairy options, which is a huge plus for anyone with dietary preferences.

Another thing I really appreciate is that you can customize everything—sweetness level, ice, toppings—so every drink is made exactly how you like it. Plus, the service is quick, even during busy hours.

Whether you’re a longtime boba fan or just curious to try, Milk+Tea is the perfect place. It’s great for grabbing a drink on the go or hanging out with friends....

Comfy seating and fun vibe One of the newest boba spots in Austin. This one is right behind 85 degree bakery in the little Asian strip mall off Airport. Unlike some other boba spots milk+tea has an inviting atmosphere with comfortable seating, board games, and top 40 music. You can sit and enjoy your boba and even order a snack. They have popcorn chicken and a few more finger foods. I came for the boba, my fav being matcha. Quality is good and they didn't skimp on the matcha strength. I found the regular sugar level sweeter than I like, but that can be customized. My daughter likes the iron goddess tea, Chinese Oolong Loose Leaf, which isn't available at many boba spots, making for a good excuse to visit. Prices are in line with other boba shops and you get a standard size serving. One unique feature is the drive thru, you can get your boba on the go and never leave your car. Recommend
