Wow! Walking into this place on a random Tuesday morning, my nose was immediately greeted by the most amazing aromas of freshness and love! Despite opening at 6am, there was already a line formed - and for good reason. The woman at the counter was absolutely incredible, greeting each customer with genuine warmth and interest in their day, even though it was just beginning! Even with a quick-moving line of people getting their morning coffee and donuts before work, she maintained the same wonderful energy and attention for everyone. I found myself actually excited to reach the counter despite the wait just to talk to the staff - that great energy in the morning is better than a cup of coffee! Even the crankiest morning people who usually hate sunshine and cheerfulness couldn't help but crack a smile when interacting with the staff! The donuts were phenomenal! Fresh, delicious, and the best part? The prices! Unlike those overpriced, trendy donut shops with their indifferent service and astronomical prices for basic dough and frosting, this place offers incredible value. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would (I guess I kind of just did, haha!). Not only is the food amazing, but the staff truly make this world a better place. What started off as a spontaneous craving for donuts turned out to be one of the nicest experiences I have ever had. SH Donuts is a quaint little family run donut place. There is something nice about the cozy atmosphere that greets you when you enter this small shop.

Speaking about the donuts, they're simply fantastic. The Apple Fritters and Eclairs are to die for. The custard filling in the eclairs is heavenly. Do try the blueberry donuts, bear claws and of course the traditional glazed variants when you are here.

The delicious donuts apart, the hospitality of the warm lady at the counter is what made my experience at SH Donuts truly wholesome. She engaged us in a great conversation, and even gave us a couple of donuts for free along with extra coffee simply because we were students ! When I noticed that the place is open from 5am in the morning, I was surprised to learn that the family is up by 1.30 am to make the daily fare.

After months of searching, I finally happened upon Austin's best donut shop. This place is run by what I assume to be a nice family. No, I'm not assuming they're nice; that part I assume. I assume they are a family. Anyway, you'll find all your favorites--from old fashion donuts to glazed to the fancy twists and bear claws. Their cinnamon twist really has got to be one of the best I've ever had. In addition to donuts, S H has got a wide variety of savory pastries including kolaches and meaty croissant rolls. But it doesn't end there, the offer about 4 kinds of breakfast tacos. The tacos are all pre-made (not pre-fab but earlier in the day) so they're not quite Taco Deli level of awesome (if you want Taco Deli, you should just go there already). But they're still good!
