Love this place (especially for the drive thru convenience)! Always fresh & kolaches are hot.

Customer service is great - Love that it seems like a big/extended family of consistent workers (apparent dedication/job satisfaction). Owner is a local & is super nice!

Not the best kolaches in town, but always hot & fresh!

Not traditional kolache bread: More "bread-like" (vs crispier outside, different texture, sweeter dough). Frequently underproofed and/or undercooked interior: This comment's coming from learning about proper proofing/expectations from baking shows, so uh, call me a "more aware critic," but my kids love them regardless! Quality of ham has varied, & we sure appreciate the better quality (& avoid ordering from here if it changes - thankfully, it hasn't at least recently!).

Will always wish the country sausage link would be bigger to improve the ratio of bread to sausage, egg, cheese (but I'm most delighted that this store owner opts for better quality country sausage, even if it's smaller. A prior Yelp review I made commented on a poor replacement that corporate advised that I've since learned the store owner "vetoed" for the better choice)!

Occasionally, they've made mistakes with our order, but when brought to their attention "immediately," it's satisfactorily rectified.

I'm all about supporting this Shipley's location especially for our personal convenience. Add in the owner and the team = more reason to support them. Add in details from above = more support.

I have come to this location many times, but today’s experience was very embarrassing. I was ordering when I asked the employee that was serving me if one of the donuts was Burnt, her response was as if I’m being irritating she had a really Poor Attitude. So I drove back home to see my order was wrong but she put the Burnt Apple Fritter in the box anyway. So I went back up there to return my order and speak to a manager, a different employee comes to me very nonchalantly and said sir do you want your money back and not giving me any other option. The employee goes to talk with Manager then he Yells Just Give him his money back. I then walk closer to the counter without having to raise my voice in front of the Kids and everyone else, asking the Manager if I could speak with him he then Yells again saying What Do You Want Me To Do Man! I asked for my refund while everyone was looking at me backing up also whispering to each other. Then I said to the Manager that wasn’t Professional at all! While waiting for the refund the Manager approached me asking if he could speak with me outside so I declined because everyone inside the shop should see that he was in the Wrong. Then the Manager apologized to me for his Unprofessional conduct. I have pictures of both employee and the Manager don’t know there names. I’ve been going to this Shipley’s for at least a few months and it’s always been great. Everyone is kind, both customers and employees, the food is good, and I’ve kept coming back.

Unfortunately, I had a slightly off experience today. The person on the drive thru window said very little to me, which is fine on its own, I don’t expect getting food to be a social visit. However, I noticed she was sniffling and scratching her nose, which should have been a red flag for someone handling my food, but I’ve never had an experience like that here, so I didn’t want to assume anything. Then, after she ran my card, she silently handed me the receipt and a pen, and after I filled it out, she didn’t come back to the window, and I was just hanging onto this receipt for a few minutes. I thanked her when she gave me my food, and again, silence, which at this point felt more uncomfortable than anything. Maybe it was just an off day for her, but maybe she was sick and decided to come in? Stuff happens, but I left feeling like I’d done something wrong with the tone of the overall interaction.
