Updated review: JUST GO! You will NOT be disappointed!!! Have been frequenting Taco Brother: always and consistently delicious, great & friendly service, awesome value. Since myemy initial review, we've branched out and tried many other things on the menu and have built our own tacos: yes EVERYTHING has been awesome.
Initial review (4 months prior to this update): My family gives 4.5-5 stars and looks forward to frequenting Taco Brother! Though I've wanted to try it, I played "selfish" and walked over to the Thai food truck (the fam doesn't care for Thai so I get it when I can). But at the same time, I -of course- just HAD to sample theirs, LOL!
Orders: 3 tacos: Steak fajita & cilantro on corn tortillas with added cheese, & requested limes. For hubby to say 4.5 stars means A LOT: He "never" gives 5 stars. But the tacos must've been that good: I didn't even get a bite! Boo! Chicken fajita plate. Son gave 5 stars. Stealing a few bites, Dad/hubby gave 4.5 (his 5). I personally thought the chicken was a little dry, and I agree with other reviews that the beans were a bit lacking. The green peppers had a crunch / were not soggy (the way I like personally them). And since the menu doesn't list everything in them, my son picked out the tomatoes (next time, we'll simply request "no tomatoes"). Side note: I added the leftovers to scrambled eggs and had quite a delicious breakfast/2nd meal! Steak fajita quesadilla on flour tortilla (meat & cheese; anything else -jalapenos, sour cream, pico- on the side). Um, this was seriously DA BOMB! Ordering son, hubby/Dad, and I ALL think this may be what we order next time! Yeah, THAT good!
Besides the food, the dude was SO cool: I first ordered in English, but then began trying my Spanish. He totally "got" it - He replied, reviewed the receipt of the order, and asked if/which salsas to include - all in Spanish; but I could tell he was also making sure I understood. Super awesome!
FYI, there's a protected seating area adjacent to the truck. I say "protected," as the food truck is by the fairly busy Brodie Lane, and the cover & roadside tarps provide a semblance of "ambience." If I was "on the road" and didn't want to eat in my vehicle, I'd be fine with eating there on a temperate day. We, though, got our orders to go.
We will DEFINITELY be going back to Taco...

Nice little hidden food truck gem. Visited on a Saturday morning and went right up to the window with no line. Food was out less than 5 minutes later. The gentleman at the window that helped me was extremely courteous, helpful, and accommodating. He definitely seemed like he enjoyed being there and actually wanted to help me, not something normally found in the food service industry, so he was definitely a breath of fresh air! Great atmosphere with music playing, quite a few benches to sit at, and with a little canopy to offer a little bit of shade in the hot, Texas summer sun. Salsa verde is amazingly delicious, but watch out, it sure does have a kick to it! Even I couldn't put as much as I normally add to my tacos because it was pretty spicy, and I've got a spicy tongue to begin with, but I still tried anyway because it tasted so amazing! Definitely will be back again and again! Next time I'll add pictures. This time I gobbled them...
Read moreWas terrible, ordered bacon egg and cheese tacos. Not bacon but minced up ham that made it too salty to eat. No saying I won’t do back but geese, advertising bacon was misleading. Chopped salty ham was terrible. Don’t advertise bacon when it’s not. I will drive the extra mile to get what I thought they advertised. Never again. I called and they seemed proud of chopped ham calling it bacon. No self respecting Texan would ever accept that. Bacon is stripes of bacon and not what they call it. Fed it to my dog but he didn’t like it either. If you want bacon and you’re a local…....
