Toyloco, nestled on East 7th Street in Austin, is a hidden gem that’s redefining late-night Mexican cuisine. This food truck is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, flavorful bites with a creative twist.
The star of the show is undoubtedly their California-style burrito. This hefty creation is a perfect fusion of textures and flavors. The addition of crispy fries inside the burrito adds a delightful crunch, while the mysterious “sauciness” elevates it to gourmet status. Each bite is a harmonious blend of savory ingredients, making it a standout item on their menu.
Not to be outdone, the shrimp burrito is another crowd-pleaser. The succulent shrimp are perfectly cooked and complemented by melted mozzarella cheese and grilled onions. The sauciness of this burrito adds a luscious quality that keeps you coming back for more.
For the younger palate, the quesadilla is apparently a showstopper. When a child declares it “top two and it wasn’t two,” you know you’ve struck culinary gold. The simplicity of a well-executed quesadilla can’t be underestimated, and Toyloco seems to have mastered this art.
What sets Toyloco apart is their commitment to quality ingredients and attention to detail. Each dish is carefully prepared, ensuring a consistently delightful experience for patrons. The food truck’s late hours - open until 3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays - make it a perfect spot for satisfying those midnight cravings.

Read moreI wasn't expecting much from this taco truck, but I was thoroughly impressed! Here's what we tried:
Cali Burrito - a steak burrito with fries. SO GOOD. Would definitely get again. There is some magical sauce in here that just makes it.
Diabla Shrimp Taco - this was surprisingly good. The combination of the perfectly cooked shrimp, tiny diced onion and tomato, cheese, and whatever else they put on top of the pillowy soft flour tortilla left me wanting another one! Must get. Try it before you knock it. Note: this is NOT the regular Shrimp Taco.
Al Pastor taco - pretty standard, but very good still.
Notes for the owner - please update your website, Door Dash, as well as Uber Eats. The menu on the food truck does not match the online ordering systems and needs attention. For example, if you order in person, you can get a shrimp quesadilla or just one shrimp taco - but online, it's not possible. Also, the Cali burrito comes with steak as standard, but when you order online, it says "choice of meat", but there's...
Read moreThis may look like an average veggie taco, but my friends THIS taco was AWESOME! I’m constantly on the hunt for new quality veggie tacos, this has now made my top 3 favorites in Austin👌🏼 loved the addition of roasted carrots and corn, and some kind of chipotle mayo generously added on top. Pro tip: you GOTTA add the avocado AND ask for the pickled onions on top (as pictured) trust me it adds perfect flavor. I ordered 2 of the same taco, and then immediately went and ordered two more of the same because how good it was 😂 I almost forgot to take a pic as I scarfed down the other taco. Also, the people had great vibes, always important for me 🙌🏼 Thank you for a lively experience, will see...
