The Juice Pod Avalon — Restaurant in Avalon

I have been a loyal customer of Juice Pod since they only had their Avalon and Sea Isle locations, and one thing you can always count on is consistency. No matter what I order (bowl, smoothie, salad), year after year, it looks and tastes the same. Fresh ingredients, great portion sizes, and quick, friendly service every time.

While all of the locations are amazing (I’ve been to many), there is something special about the Avalon location and that’s definitely the staff. Abby used to manage the Sea Isle location and moved over to the Avalon location when they reopened last summer. I was devastated since Sea Isle is closer, but I still make the drive to Avalon just for her. Besides the owner Danielle, you won’t find anyone who truly loves Juice Pod and the customers more. I had a friend staying in Avalon last summer and of course I recommended she try Juice Pod. When she went to try it, she was disappointed to find out she was too late and they were closed. Abby was in her car about to leave, but got out when she saw my friend and offered to make her order anyway. And that’s just who Abby is, always willing to go above and beyond.

It’s no secret why Juice Pod continues to grow and thrive. Its owners like Danielle (who can frequently be found working alongside her staff doing anything and everything) and managers like Abby that keep customers like me coming back...

I wish I could retract my tip. I went in at 10:30am on a Saturday. No manager in sight. I ordered the Popstar Special smoothie. The girl didn’t give me a receipt. Waited 20 minutes for my smoothie. Either I grabbed the wrong one or they got my order wrong and it was nowhere near what I ordered. It’s tight and it’s crowded. The acai was not being kept in the freezer, four bins were out on top of the freezer. If you looked over the counters you would see bags and bags of opened products. I am sure there were more major health violations occurring where you can’t see. Lots of cross contamination. You can’t just leave 8 teens to their own devices when it’s that busy. I will not...

Super allergen and vegan friendly!!!! They have oat milk and are willing to go that extra step to double check ingredients as well as make sure nothing is cross-contaminated when you have allergies or sensitivities. I got the Vegwich panini, but we replaced the aioli with balsamic and OMG SO GOOD!!

The only thing I could think to improve on is the stair-only entrance. Though I am not in a wheelchair, I know people who use them. As well as the loud blenders, for sound-sensitive individuals it may be a bit chaotic if it’s busy. Though there is also the option to wait outside too :)
