I walked a little over a mile from the airport with my suitcase to eat here, and it was absolutely worth it. I got a slice of pepperoni pizza and it tasted incredible—just the right amount of sauce, cheese, and pepperoni, all cooked to just the right amount of crispy. I also took a slice of chocolate cake to-go and it was perfectly rich with just the right mixture of cake and frosting. The staff were also very friendly. During my meal, the owner (I’m pretty sure) asked me about my suitcase and my travels and such. Upon discovering that I’d walked there and planned on walking back, he offered for an employee to drive me there instead. When it was time for me to head back to the airport, he immediately had his son take me there. Hands down some of the nicest people I’ve ever met and the greatest service I’ve ever received. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for great pizza, great people, and great Italian food in general. Even though I only had one slice of pizza and a slice of chocolate cake, I have complete faith that any item on their menu will completely satisfy you...
Read moreSecond time we ordered roasted red peppers on our pizza and they messed it up. First time we got banana hot peppers instead. I didn't want to complain so, we ate it. I dont eat hot peppers so I picked them all off. Today I tried ordering them again and we get sweet peppers out of a jar. Yuck 🤮. I refuse to eat those. The flavor of the juice permeates the entire pizza. So we called and hopefully they are doing it right this time. It's a pain in the neck to have to go back there and make a double trip because they are messing up their orders. I've always loved their food but want what I want. Come on, get it right for once. Roasted red peppers aren't too hard to get right! By the way their stromboli is the absolute best I've ever had. They need people that know how to read the orders. The person that spoke to my husband was very nice and told him " you want what you want". The pizza ended up being worth the wait. Crust so fresh and delicious. Roasted red peppers and onions were plentiful . Outstanding NY...
Read moreMy husband and I tried Giuseppes for the first time today.. and I can say with confidence it won't be our last. First I would like to compliment them on their service: we were met with a warm welcome upon arrival and given the perfect amount of both attention and space during our meal, which was very welcome and truly appreciated. Next, onto our meal itself. We ordered garlic parm fries as a starter and were served a heaping plate of fresh, hot fries that were seasoned perfectly. As for our meal, we decided on the Margherita pizza and garlic knots. It was obvious that the dough is made fresh in house, and it was delicious as both pizza and garlic knots. After a filling meal, and plenty leftover for lunch tomorrow, we passed the dessert case and decided we really wanted to try some, so we took dessert home for later. That was another great decision, as my husband raved about their tiramisu after trying it this evening. Five well deserved stars for this Avoca eatery. We're looking forward to our next...
