Great pizza, have not had a bad pie here yet. Would say they could chop the shrimp into pieces on the Cajun for better distribution on the slice; as is there is 1 shrimp per slice. Only giving 3 stars though because they appear pretty disorganized in there, also seems like they don't know how to staff the place and could use an extra body on the floor. Example from our last visit- people who clearly came after us receiving their pizzas 1st, even saw 2 tables finish and leave before we got served. Our waiter never said a word, an apology, "your pizza is on its way," nothing. Our waiter also appeared like he may have been the manager. Not a problem to me if people multitask, but then you have to be attentive to all tasks. Typical to see the staff there working more than one job. When pizza finally came so did the plates/utensils. Our waiter disappeared and I discovered that I was given a dirty plate and fork. The plate looked like it was dried with a napkin or old towel and had a thin layer of fuzz or paper residue on it. Fork was clearly dirty, whoever wrapped it was not paying attention. Surprised that the staff couldn't keep up with basic service there as we came at opening time and the place was only half full at best. This seems to be a pretty typical experience there. In the end, I'd say this place is better as a take out spot than a dine in. Could easily be 5 stars with minimal...
Read moreGreat menu and food. Their pizza is New York style and some of the best around. My personal favorite from the menu is the Caesar salad with grilled chicken, although the way they cut the chicken has changed a little and I prefer the previous cuts, which were bigger. Love their own caesar dressing—so good!
I’ve eaten in the restaurant and had take out numerous times. The wait for take-out pizza can be very long, especially on a Thursday-Saturday night and if you want more than one. Order early— we ordered at 4:30 once and it wasn’t ready till 7:00. I’d say the average lead time has been at least two hours for multiple pizzas.
They have a nice outdoor seating area in the warm weather; it’s a little more private than some and has a garden atmosphere. Entrance to the restaurant is inside the building, which houses multiple businesses. The bathrooms are outside of the restaurant, in the interior of the building.
They were previously in Simsbury, which was nice. I wish they had a location closer to me…I could really go for that salad right now
I definitely recommend...
Read moreOn the fence with our first experience dining in. Party of 7, sat at a high top with 6 chairs so I had to grab an additional chair and seat it at the end myself. No gluten free crust/cauliflower crust options so I couldn’t test out the pizza. Most places nowadays, especially in this area, have an option so that was disappointing. Those that did get pizza enjoyed it and said it was very good. I got a burger that took a long time to arrive. Everyone else in the party was halfway done with their meal before mine came out. When it finally did arrive it was undercooked so I ate the fries and kindly asked the waitress to remove off the bill which she did no questions asked. Our waitress was apologetic and did offer to put in something else, but with how long the food took it was getting late and I didn’t want to wait longer with our children. Pros: pizza, waitress, and a member of our party has a nut allergy which they took seriously Cons: no gluten free pizza options, delayed service with non pizza,...
