We came for lunch on 8/14. We had a great time. We got Arancini ( LOVED) octopus (GREAT) & a mozzarella salad & that was yummy. We wanted to come back for dinner. We decided to come back on 8/16. We both got a cocktail & they were wonderful!
We started with the tuna tartare & that was great! We got the shishito peppers & we were not happy. They gave us 3 for $15. They were literally a bowl of tomatoes & they were cold. I mention something to the server & her response was like “well, do you want the manger or no?” I just feel like for etiquette, she should have just gotten the manger so we could have given feedback. We got the mushroom mafaldine & it was good but the sauce was a little watery. The duck was great! The sweet potato purée was a tad cold.
We got the espresso martini & the vanilla bean foam was awesome but the espresso martini itself was probably the wateriest espresso martini I’ve ever had & same for the tiramisu martini. We couldn’t even finish it. However, the tiramisu dessert was good.
I’m only giving feedback because I really want this place to do well for such a small town & people talk here. Before we even came, we had a friend express not so good feedback but we wanted to give them a try. We need places with great drinks and good food that close by so we all don’t have to travel far. I want this place to do well & I feel like it does have a good idea and feel but these little things have to be cleaned up. It’s all about the details & small touches that make people wanting more and...
Read moreI eat out a lot at different restaurants and don't often do reviews but Villa Mulino has something special that made me want to share my thoughts. The staff is friendly and unpretentious and helped us get seats at the bar asap. Watching this crew work together is something to behold. They are like a well oiled machine...each doing their part. The cocktails are creative masterpieces with balanced flavors that are equally tasty and gorgeous to look at. I noticed everything is measured, ensuring consistency in each drink. Very important to me. The owners or managers (I think) both work behind the bar. And they are amazing at what they do. They add a personal touch that makes one feel like they care about their customers experience. The food is fresh and creative without being complicated. A simple ceaser salad was one of the best I've had. The ambiance is inviting from the layers of comfortable lighting to the modern but warm style throughout the restaurant. Each time I've been here they've had a full house. There is something exciting about the buzz of people having a good time. That says a lot about a place. People come back for...
Read moreWhat a delightful surprise in the Valley! The interior, crafted by a renowned restaurant designer from Rome, exuded charm and sophistication. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and the service flowed effortlessly, with impeccable timing throughout our meal.
Visiting on Mother's Day, we indulged in a delightful 4-course Prix Fixe menu. Thanks to a friend's recommendation, we discovered this gem of a restaurant, and we couldn't be happier. Starting with the beet salad and Zucchini Blossoms, each dish showcased the freshest ingredients. Even the garden salads were bursting with flavor.
For our main course, we savored an 8 oz Filet accompanied by perfectly executed potato croquettes and an exquisite oyster mushroom demi-glace. The Pan Seared Cod served over squash risotto was equally divine. And though initially hesitant, the Verde Campanelle—featuring pesto, pecorino, snow peas, pine nuts, and asparagus—proved to be a revelation.
Dessert was a delightful finale, with sorbet offering a refreshing palate cleanser and the pistachio cake being simply scrumptious. Each bite was a testament to the culinary mastery of...
