Vivaldi's Pizza — Restaurant in Avon

hey, so i don’t recommend going to this place and here is my experience. so i had to go out and my family didn’t have any dinner yet so, i ordered vivaldi’s. just so you know we have never had a problem with this place before. so i ordered the food like normal and had them drop it off at the house. usually, the delivery person would go into the lobby and ring the doorbell. we didn’t hear the doorbell so we just thought they were running late. since i was out, i did not have my phone on me. i get a text from my kids saying that the pizza still hasn’t gotten here. so they check downstairs and it isn’t in the lobby. when i get back to the house, the pizza still hasn’t arrived. i call vivialdi’s and they said they tried to call me —may i remind you, i was out so i did not have my phone— the person on the phone said that the delivery person left the pizza outside. in the lobby there is a little table so why wouldn’t they just leave it there. and of course since they left it outside, the food wasn’t there. i asked for a refund, they said they would refund the pizza but they still haven’t and it has been over a month. just so you know we have never had a problem here before. i would call, (and i wasn’t there) they would ring the doorbell and give...

Vivaldi's Pizza has 3 locations; those locations are in Avon, Bristol, and Southington, CT. They're specialty is pizza, subs, sides, salads, and other Italian options. They also do catering.

My family and I ordered takeout from this Avon location; ordering online was easy and convenient. This looks like a take-out only spot and the employees were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of parking and the restaurant was on the side of the plaza. There was a light at route 44 which makes it easy to get in and out of the plaza and onto route 44. The food was hot and ready at the specified pick-up time.

We ordered mango habanero wings and buffalo ranch boneless chicken wings. Those were crispy and flavorful. For the main entree, we had the Lasagna Pizza which came with onion, tomato, mushroom, meatball, ricotta, cheese, and garlic. I loved the ricotta cheese and mushroom combo; the toppings complemented each other and I enjoyed it. Overall, it's another good takeout spot with delicious pizza and wings. 1. The guy answering the phone sounds like he's annoyed and inconvenienced to have to take your order. Rushing you through everything and not being helpful. Completely impersonal and impolite. Tried to push me off the phone without asking how I wanted to pay.
2. The pizza was reminiscent of grade school lunch line pizza. I've had better for 4 dollars out of the frozen aisle at Walmart.
3. The "boneless wings" were chicken strips "Tyson" style tossed in a mini dose of average sauce.
4. The french fries were greasy served with a couple packets of Hunt's Ketchup.
5. The driver forgot my 2-liter of Sprite and never came back with it.

I don't write reviews. Because half the time I don't care if it's below average food. It's delivery after all. But this was so bad I stopped everything I was doing on my Sunday afternoon to make sure you all know not to go...
