Aguila's Hidaway — Restaurant in Avondale

I’ve lived down the road on the Wigwam Golf Course for 15 years now. Stopped in a few times a couple years ago but just wasn’t feeling a great vibe. Fast forward to about 3 months ago and it’s a completely different establishment. My wife and I have met the new owner Javi and his wife a few times now and just the other day Javi was kind enough to show us the new and improved updated room just across the hallway which is open on Fri & Sat and has everything from Hip-Hop/Reggaeton and request from the DJ’s. I’ve seen line dancing to breakdancing and always a great vibe. We hung out and Javi broke down his journey from the day he purchased this Bar and the transformation to what it is today. Next week I am bringing my mom up from California to see The Temptations live at Aguila’s Hidaway. Yes.. Temptations!!! Hopefully we get there early enough to grabs some seats. Security has great etiquette, bar tenders are great and we’ve been really taken care of by Gabby who is really tentative and to top it off…. They have the best cook in the West Valley!!! Manny has the touch whether you like big fat lemon pepper wings, Catfish Nuggets or hit a side of Fried Pickles and a big juicy cheeseburger with crispy fries! Pool tables, Darts, Karaoke, Juke box etc. a fun place to come and hang, meet some really good people. Thanks for the great experience Javi .

I’m highly upset how the bartenders; Zay and taura are with customer service . They do not acknowledge all customers. They pick and choose but then yet they make the drinks incorrectly. How do you make an AMF incorrectly ??… it’s basically a blue Long Island . However AMF usually requires Vodka, rum, tequila, gin, blue curacao with a splash of sprite or 7-up . They give you vodka, blue curacao and sprite . And charge full price . Yet there’s the good bartenders on other shifts that make it correctly and aren’t as rude as these ones . I’m very disappointed in the way they treat the customers as well as burning me and any other loyal customers to the point where they have to walk to the liquor to purchase alcohol .. Not to mention you get the bartenders that laugh at you when you inform them how to Correctly make a drink .. we know what goes in the drinks we order(AMF) who gave them their liquor license ??🚨 🚨 .. Should’ve went to the nugget . No wonder why they’re hiring the cooks on...

I live around the corner from this place for 6 years and this was the first and last time I will ever go back to this place. Went there with my daughter and husband to play some pool and order drinks. First the security was very disrespectful beyond belief! We never received any drinks because the bartender was too busy catering to I’m assuming the regulars. Tried to play a game of pool which no one was playing at the time but the group next to us told us they were using that table as well. This would have been a great kick it spot but too many bad vibes from customers and staff. The owner needs to tighten up on the staff and have regulations about what is and isn’t allowed at this place. You will never make real money. Just the little money from your regulars. Overall...
