Cafe Zamora — Restaurant in Avondale

Last night my former husband passed away we had an evening service at Avenidas Funeral Chapel our small group walked down the road to Zamora's for a meal and time to remember our loved one we got to Zamora's about 9 minutes before closing time we were the only ones there the hostess pointed out to us that the kitchen staff was closing down for the evening. We explained our situation and we were asked to take a seat and tables were moved to accommodate our party as it grew. Our orders were taken as we all arrived and soft drinks and table wear continued to be provided along with homemade chips and salsa. As our food orders were put in and somehow all came out of the kitchen at the same time. I can't say enough about how we were accommodated during this very stressful time in our lives. On to the food we all ordered different menu items and shared bites from each others plates because everyone thought that there food was great. Went there for breakfast this morning. Ordered the rib eye breakfast. Food came out and while server Carmen is still placing plates on the table for the rest of my party, I notice a hair in my steak. I pulled it out in front of her and she took it back. Didn’t apologize or anything. When she came back around I asked her for a menu to order something else instead. She brought the menu promptly but then never returned. She would go around to the tables but avoided ours. About 35 minutes into waiting I called her over and asked “were you planning on returning to take my order.” She said very rudely “I’ll be right back” came back a few minutes later and wanted to take my order. By this time the two others I was with were done eating, so I said “never mind tare done eating.” She smirked and walked away. Horrible...

Who ever hurt one of the servers here and sad mean or rude things to them you’re very wrong this is one of the BEST RESTAURANTS here in ARIZONA!!!! We have been coming to this restaurant since 2010 and no matter how far we live we always come and eat here because of the amazing service and food they have never let us down and have always been warm and welcoming. The salsa is so amazing and even though I should not be eating it I can not resist it and eat it because it is just so dam good I hope my review helps others see that this restaurant is one of the best here and I hope no one ever says anything bad about the servers here again.
