I am extremely disappointed and disgusted by the experience I had at the Chipotle location in Litchfield Park. I’ve never had a single complaint about any Chipotle until now. The food at other locations is always fresh, and the portions are generous, especially considering the price. Unfortunately, this location in Litchfield Park is the complete opposite.
When I arrived at the Chipotlane to pick up my order, the first thing I noticed was several employees standing around, chatting with one another inside only steps away from the pick up window. One of them glanced at me in the drive-thru pick-up lane but then continued talking to the other employees gathered instead of helping. I could clearly see my food sitting by the register through the window. It wasn’t until I had waited a couple of minutes that a younger female employee finally handed me my order.
Despite my initial experience I was excited to eat when I got home, but that excitement quickly turned to frustration. The entire burrito was cold—despite only a short drive home! I tried microwaving it, but it didn’t help. The food was overly salty, even the chips tasted stale! It seemed as though it had been sitting out for days. The lettuce was soggy before I even microwaved it, and the portion sizes were shockingly small: just a pinch of lettuce and a small spoonful each of beans, rice, corn, and pico de gallo.
I spent over $20 on this meal, plus a $2 tip I added before receiving the order—something I wouldn’t have done if I had known the quality of service and food I was about to receive. To top it off, I’ve had heartburn only two times in my life and it was during the 9th week of both of my pregnancies. In other words, I don’t typically get heartburn, but this burrito managed to give me heartburn after just two bites.
This experience has ensured that I will never return to this Chipotle location. The lack of quality and care at this restaurant is appalling and risks tarnishing the reputation of other Chipotle locations. Quality assurance and food safety inspections—perhaps even from Maricopa County—are desperately needed at this location....
Read moreSeriously the worst Chipotle location ever. I have came here 4 times and I really tried to get over it because they’re less than a 3 min drive from my house. My latest experience includes me order a quesadilla online (which comes with 3 sides). I choose double rice and black beans. I had a feeling that this location would not see the double rice, so I even set the name of my order to “2x rice pls” as an extra reminder. Tell me why, when I get my order, I only have 2 sides: rice, 1 beans. This is my breaking point of this chipotle. Seriously, take the time to drive the extra 10 min to the next closest location.
One of my past encounters includes the worker rushing my order (fast scooping and moving into the next item before I can even blink when I was the only one in the restaurant) . I wanted to ask for extra rice on my bowl, but the lady was already scooping my beans at this point and put my extra rice onto of my beans. I politely asked if she could remake it because I don’t want to eat it like that. And this lady, one of the managers, has the audacity to give me attitude and tell me I’m gonna mix it anyways. I proceed to tell her “I don’t like mine mixed”. She then stared me up and down like this is an abnormal way to eat a bowl and then told me she will not remake it.
Not to mention, the portions are extremely small at the...
Read moreI brought a group of teens here for a lunch treat. We arrived about 20 minutes before they opened, so we waited outside. At 3 minutes before their scheduled opening time, they unlocked the doors, so we went inside. A staff member behind the counter (without looking at any of us) yells out "Oh are we open yet? I mean, there's stuff that ain't ready and stuff everywhere. Are we ready to be opened?" The other staff said something inaudible. We stood by the door until the actual opening time (no one looked at us nor greeted us in any way. One of the kids walked to the register to order, and no one acknowledged her. A staff member walked by with a package of tortillas she was holding across her chest while she talked to another staff member with food in her mouth. Another staff member sat at the other end of the counter, ignoring us. At that point the service was so bad we decided to take the 6 teens to another Chipotle. We though we found another nice Chipotle in the area, it looked new. We will NEVER visit...
