2nd street cafe-Ayden — Restaurant in Ayden

We really enjoyed our first trip to this restaurant. Great service and the food was great. The cheese curds and onion rings were delicious. The kids meal chicken tenders were a good size portion. The tenders and the house made chips are perfectly crisp. My husband ordered a meatball sub, and I chose the chicken gumbo soup and a trip to the salad bar. The soup was just the right amount of spice and the salad bar was excellent. They give you a decent sized takeout bowl with a lid for the salad bar so you can take it with you which is perfect if you just want to pop and grab it to go. The sweet tea is sweet but not syrupy and the ranch is the "good ranch". The atmosphere is great with tons of movie posters and three tvs playing different movies. We ordered take out but when I walked in I wish we had eaten there, very cozy feel and the staff was all friendly.

The food is delicious! We tried the turkey/cheese sandwich, the BLT, a chicken salad sandwich and the house fries and it was all so fresh and good!

The bread was perfectly toasted, the chips were so fresh they were warm and SO crunchy!!!!

Our favorites were the chicken salad (and let's be real...if you can make good chicken salad you can't mess up much), and turkey/provolone sandwich, and the chips!!!

This is going to be our new family spot so I hope they stick around a long time!!!

First time at this establishment and would recommend 100%. The atmosphere was awesome; As a 80s-90s movie buff, the vibe they have going with the posters and signs were awesome and spot on. Food- incredible and the menu has multiple items to choose from (loved seeing bologna and Sloppy Joe on it!).
