New Order from August 17, 2021: Palio's Pizza Cafe always impresses us. We ordered for pick-up, and everything we ordered was delicious and neatly packaged. The customer service we received was great. The staff was quick to retrieve it — we also noticed that they do almost everything in-house, keeping it fresh. That is definitely a plus for us! We ordered three pasta dishes (Chicken II Palio, Chicken Parmesan, and Baked Pasta Arrabiata) and one Cannoli (Chocolate). All of the pasta dishes were delicious. Each was given a side of Cheese Bread, a slice of homemade bread with garlic butter, Italian herbs, and mozzarella. It tasted quite fresh and delicious — a plus is that it wasn't as salty as other cheese or garlic bread I have had. The Chicken II Palio consisted of roasted chicken, mushrooms, and artichoke hearts with alfredo and fettuccine. If you love alfredo, you should definitely try out this dish — it was moist and seasoned very well. The blend was definitely good. The Chicken Parmesan consisted of spaghetti and marinara. The chicken parmesan was absolutely delicious while the spaghetti and marinara tasted the same as any other spaghetti and marinara. The Baked Pasta Arrabiata consisted of italian sausage, roasted chicken, mushrooms, onions, and sundried tomatoes with penne, spicy marinara, and alfredo. This dish had a great blend — everything tasted great together. It was my first time having Cannoli, and it was amazing. To give you an idea how amazing it was, 1/3 of us absolutely does not like sweets, but he LOVED the Cannoli — of course, if you don't like sweets, you should still try out their Cannoli! If I had anything remotely bad to say, I would recommend not having too much sauce in the pasta(s). This is definitely a preference from 3/3 of us. Aside from the Baked Pasta Arrabiata, the Chicken II Palio and Chicken Parmesan had a lot of sauce. Of course, this is just our preference. An idea would be to include an option on Door Dash to pick the amount of sauce the customer would like to have on their pasta — with the amount of sauce we received being labeled as 'heavy'. In addition to this, it would be nice to pick our own pasta. In this instance, I had the Chicken II Palio with fettuccine, all while preferring penne. The same happened with the person who ordered the Baked Pasta Arrabiata — he had a preference of fettuccine. Either way, I will definitely return. Palio's Pizza Cafe has definitely won us over for their pastas and most definitely, their pizzas. ————————————————————————————————————————— It was our first time trying Palio's Pizza Cafe, and it was definitely worth it. Everything, from the food to the customer service, was perfect. Location: The location was easy to find. It's in a nice area with plenty of parking. Food: We ordered 2 Large Pizzas (Sausage & Pepperoni and Artichoke Hearts & Fresh Basil), Breadsticks, and a slice of Lemon Cake. Everything was delicious — The pizza and breadsticks were baked to perfection, and they weren't too heavy. The lemon cake tasted pretty good, too. Overall, we enjoyed everything we ordered here. Price: We used a coupon — $25 Family Meal/Dinner for everything listed above — for carryout. Glad to say, it was definitely worth the price. To give a simple perspective, the cheapest you can get Domino's or Papa John's for would be around $8-$9 for a large pizza — their carryout deal. The prices are fairly equivalent, but Palio's Pizza Cafe isn't heavy or salty. Customer Service: We carried out, but the moments we did interact with Palio's Pizza Cafe's staff was great — no complaints here. Overall, I would definitely visit Palio's Pizza Cafe in Azle, TX again. Everything was perfect!

Ordered dinner from Palio's because I wanted to get away from the standard chains like Pizza Hut and Dominos. I have been to a Palio's before (Frisco, TX), but it had been several years. We ordered the classic pizza and Greek bread via Door Dash. It was delivered in about 30 mins and our order arrived on time and we got exactly what was ordered. The pizza was pretty good, but the Greek bread is really what caught my attention. It was delicious. One thing I did notice is that they don't have a very good Health / Safety score listed on Yelp, which is a little concerning. It states things like food being left out, office supplies above the food prep line, manager needing safety training, etc.. I'd like to continue ordering from here in the future as I enjoyed the food, but they need to fix their health / safety rating.

Extremely disappointed. I thought with the reviews and the photos we would be getting a decent pizza. Instead I got this super thin small pizza even tho that is a large pizza. Ordered extra cheese and pepproni has barley anything on it. If that is extra cheese i can't imagine what the regular is like. Over cooked and barley any sauce so it was dry. Seems like its a premade pizza crust. Paid 14$ for this. You will be better off getting Digiorno. Service not great either. Instead of saying hello or welcome be with you in a min. I was first ignored. Few mins since I was looking at the two employees. The one employee held up her pointer finger essentially telling me just a min. I don't see myself giving this place another shot ever.

NOT RECOMMENDED. Extremely poor customer service and management. We ordered online at 6 pm and were told it would be ready at 6:30. Soon after received a text message saying our order was taking longer than expected and would now be ready at 7pm. I thought maybe the were just very busy being a Sunday night but when I arrived at 7 to pick up my order, there were only a handful of patrons in the restaurant. The employee at first could not find my order in their system but after they located my order, I was informed that my order was never processed it would be a 20 minute wait while they cooked our food. Took them roughly an hour and a half for them to have our order ready. Also beware of ordering online as some items you can choose online they do not actually have in the restaurant. Although they will still let you process an order with those missing items and will take your money even though they don’t have them available. After they finally delivered my order to me curbside, i was still missing items and I had to go back in to get what was missing. One thing missing was a drink and when I brought his up the girl who appears to be the manager set an empty cup on the counter & instructed me to get my own drink from the soda machine. I asked if this is how they deliver their “to-go” drinks curbside and she said yes, they can’t fill the drinks for customers. So when someone pulls up for a curbside order you deliver an Empty cup to them and they then have to go into the restaurant to get their own drink? After so many issues and talking to three different employees, never received one apology or explanation. We will never go back here again & I hope the owner of the restaurant is aware that the business is being run by incompetent employees. On the upside...the...

I'm giving this location only a very poor review. I have been to this particular location 3 times (other locations I've been to many more times) and each time the service gets worse. This time they blatantly didn't listen to a single thing we said. We called ahead and wanted the medium pizza pie sliced and have cheesy breadsticks. We got here and they didn't put in our breadstick order. When we got our pizza it was square cut not pie sliced. We mentioned this and at first she didn't want to remake it, but thankfully she gave us the option. (I know the way it's cut isn't a huge deal, but like I said each time we come the service is worse and worse).

Also, not to mention when we went to go sit down not a single table that could have been available was piled high with leftover dishes. It took us asking someone to come out and clean a table so we could sit down. And when they did the lady was starting to clean all other tables (we started cleaning off our own table by this time) and we had to ask the lady to come over and wipe it down for us.

We also asked for a piece of cake to go when we were ready to leave. We had only just gotten our breadsticks as an appetizer before someone came over to ask if we were ready for the piece of cake. I had to look her dead in the eyes and say we haven't even received our full meal.

We called ahead so our good would be ready when we got here since we are traveling for the holidays, this experience really just defeated the whole purpose of calling ahead. I'm think about not coming back to this location in the future and traveling the extra distance to go to Weatherford...
