Where do I start…. So a girl came on the speaker two seconds after I pressed the button (which is impressive since this location that never happens) and asked to take my order. I tried to order mozzarella sticks, churro shake and two frito burritos. She said we don’t have Fritos and we can’t make shakes. I said ok give me a second cause I need to call my kids and find out what they want instead so they hung up the box. When I called back in I asked for a Reese’s blast and two orders of mozzarella sticks. She said they can’t make blasts but they can make dishes. I finally agreed to a dish with Reese’s after she kept repeating that she can’t sell shakes. I told her yes I know I’m not saying shakes I’m saying dish. I saw in the window that she was talking to other employees so thats when I knew she wasn’t paying attention so I said it’s ok. No worries. Then car hop comes to the car and I asked who took my order and she didn’t know so I asked to speak to the manager. Guy manager comes out but wasn’t wearing a name tag either and didn’t offer his name. I asked him who took the order so I could report her for saying that she can’t do blasts or shakes because I saw several others being served their ice cream at this time. He explained to me that is working now and that he could fix it for me. But at this point they should have just said that from the beginning. Not after I had already got my order. So he goes back in to figure out who took my order and stays in there for a good amount of time and when he comes out he says that he can only give out her first name due to safety concerns. As if I needed any other info. No thanks. That’s all I needed. So her name is Ashley. She was rude and had some embarrassing customer service. Seems like that whole crew who was working tonight doesn’t know what it takes to wow their customers for one but secondly why are the blasts being made with shake machine consistency? Isn’t this really unfair since the blasts are only ice cream and candy and not any milk? Or am I missing something? They are being lazy. All of them. And the night time managers on this certain night was supporting their laziness and not the ideal leaders. After reading all the reviews I am convinced they can do better. This was not the Sonic brand I know and love. Get it together Sonic in Azle…. Get...
Read moreI have ordered here multiple times before, and this is my general take from Sonic Drive-In.
I typically order through the SONIC app and pick it up in person. It's easier to pay, faster, and more convenient. There are also times when I would receive rewards — but the main reason I order using the SONIC app is for the all-day, everyday half-off on drinks.
My problem with Sonic Drive-In is the last time I ordered drinks, I waited 40 minutes to receive my drink. I can understand when it was busy — because it was hectic and busy during that time — but there were people who came in after me, leaving before me. 10 minutes in, I decided to ring up someone to ask about my order. I was told that my order was on the way — okay, I thought it was a bit odd because my name usually pops up on the screen after inputting the stall I was at, but the typical menu was on the screen, so I thought it disappeared after a while.
When 30 minutes have gone by, I decided to ring them up again — didn't want to ring them too early to rush them because it was on the way and it was still crowded. Well, apparently my order was lost and they had to remake my order. 10 minutes later, my order came out. After waiting a whopping 40 minutes, I wasn't offered any incentives, just a quick apology.
Another time I had problems with Sonic Drive-In was when I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake Blast — apparently, they were no longer serving any Cheesecake Blast. I know that these Cheesecake Blasts were only available for a limited time, but the ending date was nowhere near and the Cheesecake Blast(s) was still an option on the SONIC app. Instead of refunding the amount for the Cheesecake Blast, they offered me a Strawberry Shake as a replacement. They didn't offer to refund the difference — I had to ask.
Either way, I would still return for their drinks because it's cheap and delicious, especially during this...
Read moreI've been to this location probably a hundred times in the 20 plus years I've lived in Azle. The vast majority of my visits have been perfect, but the past 3 in a row have been awful. Last night when I went in with my son and nephew, before even ordering I checked with them to make sure gravy was available because last time I ordered chicken strips with gravy and was not informed there was no gravy until I had received my order and noticed it was missing. I also noticed that they were charging me for gravy on this ticket, which has never happened before. I inquired about this, and they said it was because I didn't order the meal. Whatever. Next, it took much longer than usual to get our food, and when it did come the gravy was not there. The car-hop informed me that they were out of gravy and were making more. I was annoyed, but hey, at least I was getting my gravy. Well, we waited about 15 minutes or so with no word, and when I finally pressed the red button to see what was going on because my nephew was about to pee on himself from waiting so long, they said they were going to bring it right out. 5 minutes later the manager brings me out two gravies, which leads me to believe that I recieved 1 gravy with my tenders, and then got charged for the additional. I only needed 1. The manager offered me a shake for the inconvenience. I declined. When I got home. The tenders were cold, hard, and tiny. You guys need to get it together. I won't be coming back to your location...
