The Good: My food was hot when I got it home (apparently others have had problems with this) and I got what I ordered (I was the only one at the restaurant on a Friday afternoon and I placed my order online).
The Bad: The Mongolian Beef was sub par... about 90% sliced white onions with very little beef and a very plain, brown sauce that was NOT Mongolian Beef by any recipe I have had it before. Tasted like the brown sauce used to make Beef & Broccoli (a VERY different flavor). There were no Scallions and no red chili peppers. I don't know whose recipe they're following but it was flat out WRONG and made to fill a container with things other than beef. The Kung Pao Chicken was similarly off. It was about 90% chopped celery, with very little chicken. They did have peanuts and carrots in it, but the sauce had NO spice to it at all and did not taste like Kung Pao. It was very similar to the brown sauce on the Beef. This dish wash similarly chock full of fillers (mostly celery) to fill the container with anything but chicken. The Fried rice and Lo Mein were obviously pre-cooked and reheated (i.e. it was not freshly made). I have a feeling that is how they prepare everything. The Pork fried rice tasted very dry and bland. The Lo Mein was OK, but how hard is it to boil noodles and toss them in Lo Mein sauce? At least it was actual Lo Mein, and not spaghetti noodles. I've seen that in places like this. Overall, the food didn't make me sick; but it was not good quality and it was not as advertised (don't be fooled by their website, this place is VERY LOW RENT!!!). For the prices they charge (sit down restaurant prices, not drive through garbage, which is what they run and deliver) I would expect better quality and food which is accurately produced.
In the future I will take my business across the street (literally 50 feet away) where it is always freshly made, and the quality is much better (prices are roughly the same, but so much...
Read moreWould never have found this place without Grubhub. If they were closer, we would go all the time and save the high service fee and tip, but they're worth it. Probably the best Chinese restaurant I've ever tried. Haven't found anything yet that isn't delicious. ETA Have to agree with the other complaints about the Mongolian Beef. Too much filler, not enough meat. First entree not completely satisfied with, but still think they have yummy food. ETA taking away two stars due to the rude woman in the drive-thru window. I ordered online to pick up, thinking I would save the service fee/tip. Was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Took me about 20 minutes to get there, and I had to wait another 10 minutes to get my food. Clearly, they didn't start preparing my food until I got there, so what was the point of ordering online and paying their "convenience" fee? Never again. I'm so irritated, I don't even want to eat there again. And they do use too much fillers, especially in their rice. You pay extra for meat, and they barely put...
Read moreWould not recommend. We ordered General TSO chicken and Sweet & Sour chicken with sweet and sour pork. The rice tasted like it was reheated. The sweet and sour pork didnt taste like pork at all. Left a bad taste in my mouth. The orange chicken and TSO tasted as if it had been cooked at a very early time and reheated. They tasted rubbery- hard to chew. . The only thing that tasted beyond our expectations was the egg rolls. There were no cars/trucks in the parking lot, so maybe this was an indication of not to be eating from this restaurant. Called to complain about the food, and all the worker, wanted to say was that she been open at this restuarant since 2000. We are very disappointed and dissatisfied. We will...
