This review is based only on my last experience at Boyd's BBQ as a rule Boyd's is a great place easily worthy of 4 or 5 stars especially for a eating establishment in Bainbridge, Georgia. Tonight 7/12/19 I went into Boyd's and had a hunger for a particular entree. The counterman told me that the nights special was the BBQ Nachos, he even showed me a photo on his cell. Admittedly they looked great but I had a hankering for some smoked chicken wings. I ordered ten wings and onion rings with a drink , total price 16.80 or so and a 3 buck tip. Price is reasonablely standard no biggy. Unfortunately when I got my food I was less than impressed, it was painfully obvious the wings were reheated and dried out, the flavor was good but it was the consistency of hard tack trail jerky. The onion rings resembled onion straws heavily greased, again flavor was ok but not what one would expect for 16 plus dollars. At any rate the service was good as always and I observed another patron having the Nachos I mentioned earlier, I was somewhat envious and wished I had ordered that myself. In Boyd's defense I have dined here many times and genuinely enjoyed it but until tonight I have not dined upon the smoked wings... Nor will I again. In conclusion Boyd's is a fine eatery but I would suggest either they serve a better grade of wings or just remove them from the...

We had the breaded tenderloin sandwich and the Boyds Butt Rub Burger. The tenderloin sandwich - oh my goodness, it is HUGE! It was about 8" x 4" and thin. They put it on a bun, which is comical, but my husband LOVED it. The Butt Rub Burger, has bacon, cheese, grilled onions, bbq pork, and coleslaw. It was delicious, just the right amount of sweet and tangy. My only complaint was it's messy. The bun does not standup to the juices from the slaw and pork, a brioche style bun might work better, but the flavor - HEAVENLY!
This is not a large place, maybe 10 tables. I did see several people come in to pick up takeout orders. And they close mid afternoon (3 the day we were there), so keep that in mind.
This is definitely one of those "hole in the wall" type of places that you are...
Read moreCalled ahead for a pint of coleslaw and pint of chicken salad. When I arrived, aprox 10 minutes later as instructed, I was greated instantly and proceeded to pay my bill. After the formalities I stood to the side for approximately 15 minutes at which time I got the girls attention and as i shrugged my shoulders i mouthed the words, 15 minutes for 2 cups of salad and she immediately checked on it to findout that they were accidentally given to one of the local independent Food Couriers, which obviously get preferential treatment of the customers who are in there already. So 2 pints of salad took 30 minutes in the store and on top of that I called it in 10 minutes prior to my arrival. Also, there was just 1 party of 5 people that were actually finished and just sitting there socializing and 3...
