One of the frustrating things about living in Bakersfield after spending most of my life in NYC was the total absence of any place that sold quality bread. I use the past tense because since Laura opened Baker's Outpost that frustration has turned to delight. Her breads (and pastries) are without question as good as any I could buy in NY or Boston.
