I recently visited Chipotle at 10:10 PM, approximately 50 minutes before closing time. To my disappointment, they were out of essential items such as white rice, black beans, and corn. Despite the inconvenience, I politely inquired if they could replenish the corn, even suggesting they check their drive-through inventory. However, the response from the employee was dismissive and unhelpful, citing their impending closing time as a reason not to restock. This lack of accommodation was frustrating, especially given the ample time left before closing and the presence of a line of customers eagerly awaiting their orders.
It was only when another employee intervened upon overhearing my request that any action was taken. The subsequent effort to procure more corn, while appreciated, highlighted the initial employee's reluctance to assist. Additionally, witnessing another customer express similar frustration, only to be met with indifference from the staff, further underscored the concerning lack of leadership and customer service standards.
I urge management to address these issues promptly. A dedicated manager overseeing operations could prevent such incidents by ensuring adequate stock levels and fostering a culture of attentive customer care.
