Although it self-labeled as authentic Guadalajar street food, the feel is one of a loving mother's kitchen. I was impressed with not only the food, but their warm hospitality. You can taste and see the love that goes into the food. For a food truck (trailer), it is very clean and well-kept. I ordered the torta ahogada (a.k.a. a drowned sandwich) combo, which is a half sandwich that comes with 2 potato tacos. While I waited, I was served homemade fried potato chips topped with a bit of ketchup. The torta ahogada (sounds closest to aww-whoa-gah-das) was served with a crusty bolillo roll that rested atop a delicious tomato-based sauce and a spicy salsa. The potato tacos are made with a light, airy fried corn tortilla shell. I highly recommend you at least get these tacos. It wasn't clear to me that drinks were available. I ended up bringing a drink from the Chevron station on property. You place your order, but pay at the end. Because they use Square for iPad, they accept all major credit cards in addition to cash. I ordered the torta ahogada shrimp combo which is half the torta and two tacos . So I get my plate and naturally it is drenched in a red spicy chili sauce. Well I dont really like soggy bread but it was as described soo . The food itself was good I just felt like I had to hurry and eat it so it wouldn't turn to mush. Next time (because there will be a next time ) I'll order the sauce on the side. I will return to taste more items . My daughter ordered the tostada , she said it was OK. It is nestled in between the Chevron and Hughes Lane. You may miss it if you blink. The food is AWESOME!!!!!! So don't miss it.
My tamale was so light and yummy. The masa wasn't heavy like most places. The bread that they use for their lonches and torts doesn't leave you feeling guilty about nada! PURE FLAVOR IS THE EORD
