Three Way Chevy was the straw that broke the camels back when it comes to me owning a Chevy vehicle. I have had nothing but the absolute worst experiences with this dealership.
Iāve had nothing but Chevy trucks since I was 19 years old. My last being a 2014 metallic green crew cab which was my dream truck. The last 2-3 years have been a disaster. My transmission went out in May 2024. It took weeks to get it back, and it went out exactly one year later in May 2025.
I initially didnāt put blame on three way for the failure of the transmission in 2024. That was Chevys fault. I donāt off road, I donāt load it with heavy items and I never tow. Somehow the transmission went out after 138k miles on it. I figured it was repaired by three way, but I was wrong.
Now I put the blame on them for dropping the ball on this one. Why was my newly rebuilt transmission failing a year after it was repaired? Three weeks after dropping it off I still wasnāt getting any clear communication from them. I finally learned that it was a part they were waiting on that was on back order with no time frame on when it would be in stock. I was having my wife drive me to work at 3am every day and they didnāt think it was important to share with me this vital info.
I was told they would get in touch with GM themselves to get approval to use a transmission they have in stock. Magically it got approved soon after that, and when we approached the one month mark, my truck was finally āfinished.ā
I went to pick it up and it wasnāt washed. I went to drive it home and it died in the parking lot. I stormed back in telling the service advisor my truck just died in your lot. He drove it around and sure enough it died on him too. They had to keep it another day to fix that issue. Their response was they knew I was waiting so long for it and knew I needed it back, so they rushed to get it to me.
There is a major difference in rushing to get it back to me, and rushing to do a PROPER JOB to get it back to me. I could have waited another day or two if they had taken their time to get it right. I paid almost 5-6 thousand dollars for this in May 2024. Itās embarrassing that I paid that much just for another failure one year later.
I also took in my truck a few years ago for a recall on a brake issue. Something happened again with my brakes and turns out it was unrelated to the recall that came out, and still needed to be fixed. I paid close to 650 when I picked up my truck, just for it to die in the parking lot. So a brake issue that was āfixedā by a recall a few years ago, acted up and needed repairs, my transmission failed again, it died when I left the parking lot, and countless other Chevy issues.
Me and this dealership had a discussion on how to solve this issue, which I give them credit, they did. I wonāt hold this on them; they owned up to their mistake and did what they could to make me happy. But the damage had been done. I vowed to never go to this dealership ever again.
I made the decision to trade in my Silverado and I switched to a ford maverick for the time being. Itās what I could afford and I figured itās the safer route to go rather than dealing with the ongoing issues with my truck. The engine going out could have been next. Did I really put more of a financial burden on myself so I can ensure I never deal with Chevy again? Yes. I did. Iāll pay this truck off in a few years and Iāll be fine. But knowing I will never, ever, deal with three way Chevrolet ever again, makes me very happy.
I can only imagine the managers at this place reading my review laughing because they think losing one devout Chevy consumer, means nothing. But I hope this comment sits with other people who read this and causes them to rethink their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you are shopping for a new Chevrolet, go outside of Bakersfield. One of the worst dealer experiences from searching, to financing to service.
Was wanting to purchase a new Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, they didnāt have the one in stock I was looking for, so was a hassle trying to locate another one at another dealership (should have taken that as a sign and just drove to that dealership and bought it there) after 3 days they still couldnāt figure out how to get it transferred, after 4 days they all of sudden got one in that supposedly had all the same options, it ended up not. I ultimately opted to purchase the truck, spent 3 more hours at the dealership after spending several hours originally on Saturday and then a large amount of time over the next 6 days.
When I got to finance the misery and BS continued, they CHANGED the interest rate we had been discussing and had been listed on all the paperwork I had been given, they gave multiple excuses for it but ultimately BS especially with an 835 credit score. Didnāt leave with the vehicle that night because it had some issues that needed to be fixed (clips that hold the trim to the body), so the truck had to be transferred to service, our salesman said service would then handle it.
Next day I received a text from the service department saying āThis is Juanita, I am your service advisor, text me with any questions.ā I text that morning and asked when my truck would ready, with no response, text 2 more times throughout the day, still with no response. Called the next morning and left a message, still no response, my wife called and left a message with no response. Finally called again in the afternoon and asked to speak to a manager, instead Juanita finally answered. She said the vehicle was ready, I asked her if it was washed and ready to go and she said that is not the service centers job, that is the sales departmentās responsibility and she would reach out to them.
Finally at 5 pm they notified my wife it was ready to pick up, when she got there it still had not been cleaned or filled with gas, so again we waited. Got home the truck home and the next day we realized they never gave us the paperwork or manual for the truck, SO have to go back again to the dealership.
I bought a new 2024 Jaguar F-Pace and 2024 Toyota 4Runner and NEVER had such incompetent and BS as this dealership. If you are looking for a Chevrolet or Cadillac, go out of town, others be prepared for the BS and a horrible...
Ā Ā Ā Read more3 way Chevrolet failed miserably. We purchased a commercial truck Chevy 5500 HD diesel around March 2023, and it is a troubled truck. The sales manager Jodi does not care about customer satisfaction. I've reached out to him to find a resolution, and he shined me away and ignored my email. The day we purchased the truck, it had suspension issues as we drove it to our shop, and they lied about being customer service friendly. The same day, we took it to the service department and Billy along with the service department manager, William hasn't fixed the issue. I've taken the truck back three (3) more times for repairs to correct the ABS and stabiliTrak and even got Chevrolet involved, but no luck. All they do is find excuses on part delays, rotate tires, and switch tires, but the issue hasn't been resolved. At this point, I would not recommend any business at 3 Way Chevrolet due to their lies about customer service and reliability on their Chevy 5500 HD. The service is horrible, and they don't care about your issues even though they sold me a defective truck. The 3rd service drop-off took them 1 month, and the issue didn't get resolved. They did provide a pick-up courtesy rental, but I can't use it to load scaffolding equipment. The 4th drop off to fix the same suspension issue has taken another month. 3 way Chevrolet told me that this purchase would be a great one for our small business truck fleet. We struggled a whole lot to make a decision to purchase a new vehicle because of the constant struggles with faulty mechanical issues on all of our used truck fleet. The new purchase has been a living nigthmare, having to still make the payment, and not having the truck is the worst feeling and all because 3 Way Chevrolet sold us a defective truck. The worst part from 3 Way Chevrolet and Chevrolet is the inability to make it better by standing behind their truck and providing help with the payment and providing an equivalent rental vehicle. THEY ARE SELLING A DEFECTED TRUCK WITH FAULTY SUSPENSION ISSSUES. If anyone is in the market for a commercial truck, I don't recommend the Chevy...
