This is my 2nd time there this week. When went the first time the service was good the food was good a little bland but it was good to try again. I brought some coworkers who this is their first time in California we came here to eat. 1st off the server Rosa Angel said she would be right back and it took her about 10-15 minutes to come back. By the time she came back we ordered our 2 waters and a sprite along with our food. After watching tables get their drinks before us and we were there before them I had to flag her down to get our drinks. It's outside dining for goodnes sake Pitchers of water should be provided on the tables anyway. When the food finally came out she asked my coworker if she wanted flour or corn tortillas with her food she said flour. She left and brought my empanadas and that was the last we seen her. No refills on drinks. No is everything ok. & no tortillas. I tried to flag down another waitress who kept looking at me, but acted like she didn't hear me and walked right pass me. We sat there for over 15-20 minutes watching the server service everyone except for us. I literally had to flag her down afer she walked past our table like she wasn't our server. I asked if she could bring our checks. She brought one check. She had to take back and separate them. You would think with outside dining and only like 10 tables the service would be much faster. I'm a General Manager in food service and I would have to say this is the worse service I've had in a long time. My coworkers were not impressed although they like the food. Sad thing we are here for almost a month and we definitely won't be back to this...
Read moreAfter navigating the insane parking lot I had a great meal and great service, great people & great music the Mariachis were turned out well. I had the fish "chicharon" (which was basically just fried tilapia ) as appetizer and I wanted to try the culichis so I did, they are extremely fresh and also I was impressed by the rice and beans that came with it I'm not a huge rice fan but these were really good. Even though it was kind of crazy to order all this food I had the gobernador taco. I managed to eat it all. I really wanted to try the campechana but I didn't want to drive back to Los Angeles slopping around a bunch of seafood so that just means I'll have to go there for that ... and the green ceviche... and a number of other things that I saw on the menu that looked really good. The server's name was Angelica and I want to give a shout out to her for being helpful in trying out the Nayarit specials. The fried tilapia was pretty basic but the spicy green sauce really helped to perk it up. I probably wouldn't order that again.
Also , nothing to do with a restaurant per se, but: I had the strange experience of watching an 8-year-old child drink mayonnaise right from the squeeze bottle without the four adults around him doing anything about it. Even if it weren't a Time of pandemic this made my mind real to think that all of the squeeze bottle condiments I've ever used in my lifetime and my stomach turned. But it didn't keep me from eating...
Read moreWe came in and were greated by a very nice gentlemen. The host took us to our seats. It was a little breezy so we asked for. Different table we got seated in a little spot in the middle which was nice. They forgot to clean the tables but i just didnt want to complain at the time. Anyway we ordered the oyster shots they were quite tasty. Each shot had 2 oysters inside and the shrimp..omg the shrimp. They were delicious. So crunchy and idk just really good. We had the shrimp, pulp, and fish soup and the meat molcajete. The soup was actually very good. The shrimp again was delicious and the fish very tasty. The molcajete was smaller than what I'm use to. The flavors were okay. The meats were good. The flavor just idk wasnt all that good. They give you 3 tortillas or 6 and then you can ask for more. They dont seem to charge. The molcajete comes with rice and beans. The salsa that comes with the chips are yum. These are complimentary. I would def go back to get some shrimp plates and a few of...
