Shake ‘ N Buns — Restaurant in Bakersfield

We ordered ahead on the website and got there a little early checked the count down and it said they were still making it so waited a few minutes, no problem. Then it said ready for pick up, so I walked up to the window and waited for several mins while 2 girl's made several drinks. When one finally seen me and came to the window she had a bit of an attitude (I thought maybe it's the heat) I smiled. And she said "ya can I help you?" I said I had ordered online to pick up. She replied "do you have a name?" Never looking at me, when I gave my name she just shut the window and walked away. A couple mins later she came back from around the corner inside opened the window shoved the food and drinks/milkshakes out and shut the window and walked away. I wish I was lying. I was shocked lol I thought wow what horrible customer service. Got home and the milkshakes were all soupy/watery, all the fries were cold and everything else barely warm. Was not good at all. I was very disappointed. For how much I spent I definitely should have gotten something else. The other Shake n Buns off white lane is way better, way more friendly and everything...

The wait was awful but 100% worth it.

First off, they have good ranch. It tastes like they make it in house. That's always a good sign. Cheese curds, great. A bit pricy for the size of the order. Onion rings are fantastic. They're hot, crispy, and fresh. The California Burger (no tomato, my request) was phenomenal. The avocado was fresh and they didn't skimp on toppings. The pastrami sandwich- the whole reason we came, we heard they had good pastrami- was fantastic. It was flavourful, seasoned perfectly, had just the right amount of mustard, and the pickles were nice and crisp (they almost taste homemade). A generous portion of meat on a buttery, grilled roll. He wanted a second sandwich because it was so delicious.

10/10 would recommend.

Apologies for the photos, we ate the cheese curds & onion rings on the way home (with the ranch) and started in on our burger and sandwich veggie I remembered to take photos. It looked much more appetising veggie, I can assure you. Haha.

Food is great especially the shake n buz off of white lane, they know have better time management, and fullfil orders, but time management and completing orders here on hageman is not up to par. They did not check there orders before giving them to the consumer. They didn't check my bag to see if I got my complete food to my order, i ordered in advance and I paid for food they didn't put in my order. So the sides I ordered weren't in my bag when I picked it up, it was my fault for not double checking and there isn't an excuse because it was pouring rain. When I called and asked if they can refund me because hageman is far. They just told me to come back for them to give me my sides I paid for..... so service on the time management or the completion of customers satisfaction of the order is a low rating for me.
