1st visit: Everything was perfect until I felt a little rushed to clear my patio table for the next couple. 2nd & 3rd visit: great! 4th visit: long wait (45 min) but delicious. 5th VISIT.... On a Saturday morning, my family of 4 and I waited for an 1hr and 20min to be seated and then left without eating! I walked up to the hostess and gave my name & phone number. I was told 45 minute wait. We traveled from out of town and it was the 1st rain of the season, so we waited in the car. 45 minutes passed and I had not got a text so we walked up to the hostess and asked where we were on the list bc the 45 minutes had passed. The hostess man (I'm assuming the owner) said there were 3 parties in front of us. I replied, "ok, we're just going to wait here now" (standing 6 feet away from him). 3, 4, 5 parties were seated and another 20 minutes had passed. During that time I heard him call 2 parties on the phone and leave messages about their table ready. He even asked a woman if she was Julia (a missing party). I finally asked again and he responded he'd been texting me and since I didn't arrive he canceled us. I said, I have 1 text (I didn't hear) and I've been standing here. He said I'll get you the next table. I was upset as I walked behind him and told him I could hear him call and leave messages for other parties, ask a lady if she was a missing party but ignored me completely, because I'm not white? Maybe he thought I didn't have $ to pay in his expensive breakfast joint. He said, in a very loud voice "DO YOU WANT TO EAT HERE OR NOT." I wanted to tell him more but walked out of there with my family after 1.5hrs of...
Read moreI ordered my food I ate half had two sips of my coffee and waitress brought check and asked if I wanted a box. I said yes. I then realized I had to use the ladies room. So I didn't want to leave bill on the table , so I got up to see if I can pay it and expressed i need to use the restroom. Came out and the table was cleared , so 35 bucks for five bites and two sips of coffee. Fine it's OK, lesson learned. When I got in my car , I thought to myself, I should ask for a coffee to go. When I reenter the restaurant all five employees turned there back and walked away. So now I know that they have realized they shouldn't of cleared my food. Oh and by the way my to go box lid was opened on the table and I hadn't filled it yet, so.....it clearly looked like I was returning to the table. Anyways they turned there backs and finally was supposed to be the mngr came up to me with a very aggressive stance and said ,"What!" I said, "Could I please get a coffee to go , I didn't get a chance to drink mine" she turned away found my waitress and told her to make me a cup. The waitress didn't say anything to me and handed me my cup. I could understand this type of behavior if I was trouble or if I was complaining, but I didn't and shame shame shame on how the staff and there lead...
Read moreWe got here when there was no wait to get seated. With in 10 min we placed our order but had to wait 47 to get our order. I’m not sure if this is the norm but with a 2 year old it was like pulling teeth. I tried to stay optimistic telling myself they still could redeem themselves if the food is good. My wife had the chicken and waffle. The waffle was ok, it was a little on the dry side. The chicken to batter ratio was a little off. It had more batter than chicken, a little dry but the flavor was there. I got my son the french toast. It was a little tough for him to eat but he will eat anything with syrup. I got the cinnamon roll pancake breakfast. I’m a big guy and I couldn’t finish them, probably the best cinnamon pancake I ever had. There are good and bad at this place. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. You can eat out doors or in. It feels like a mix of a old dinner mixed with modern. What got me was the wait after ordering….Kid or not it was a little long. Sitting with a 2 year old that long is crazy. I will come back to check out what else they have to offer but I’m not in a rush to get back. For the three of us...
